The last 3 PC's ive played have been the laggiest its ever been for me. Maybe its only me, but i cannot tolerate it anymore. I reset right before every match and start the match with about 15 fps at best. I freeze in gunfights and end up dead 2 seconds later... idk what to do anymore, its a big waste of time, taking time out of the day to do this. When (if) PC is optimized to perform at minimum 30 fps, i will participate again. Fun matches with u guys. o7
Basically: Dust is unplayable

thats so redundant. I could buy a new ps3 and dust will still be dust. no point. And honestly, this game isnt worth the effort lol.

Go into your merc quarters and press "R1" and then "Square"
Works like a charm. All the lag disappears.

Some dude posted a link to rebuilding the database on your PS3, that is the only trick anyone has ever posted that truly fixed any issues I was having.
That and deleting and reinstalling to get rid of multiple patch downloads. |

I'm with Assert here.
Just played a PC not even 30 minutes ago for Art of Death vs Molon and I was lagging immensely.
It was pretty bad... running into walls and jumping from point to point.
I'd rather **** out kidney stones at that point.

Basically: Dust is unplayable
my advice:
1. The super-slim PS3's perform poorly, and PS3's with much data, movies, music ect. on it also perform poorly due to the amount of info it has to search through to find the DUST 514 files
2. Leave and re-join battle. I played a PC vs Cap Acq a while ago, both battles were super laggy but 50% of the time the lag stopped after i did this.
3. Re install dust 514.
4. Delete the data cache of your PS3. If you don't know how just search it up.
5. Wait for legion, or the port to PS4!
6. Re build your database.
999. Soak your PS3 in a bathtub of water to cool it off.

Some players, sockets, and tactics increase lag substantially. Try 480p for some fights I know will be bullshit. Use 720p for pubs.
Always turn down textures and effects to low. Close chat channels. Etc, etc, etc.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

1. Clear out some memory on the PS3- Delete all the stuff you don't play
2. Delete mail- PS3 and Dust
3. Clear out as many assets as you can- sell them all

5. Fresh install of Dust
6.Keep chats down to 2-3
7. When you restart for PC, do not open mail, assets or fits, make sure that this is done as close as possible to the deploy.
8. Graphics set to 'low'
9. Post regularly on the forums demanding a PS4/PC port
I did this recently and it massively improved. It is still not good but PC now feels like playing on a different server rather than the slideshow it regularly became in the second half of most PCs.
Of course, the lag facility will no longer be an issue so that should improve things too.
Anyone got anything else?

Ok, Trade in PS3 for PS4, game stop runs specials every now and then for 100-150 bucks trade in towards PS4. If you put in for PS2 beta code, a lot are going out tues 24th, if not, open beta should be soon. Find some other games to occupy your time, Dust is not worth the frustration.
The lag has been there in PC and Pubs since the beginning and is not going away, no matter what fixes you try, no matter what.
3000-4000 Dust vets that left a year ago can't be wrong.
We're smashing each others crap in nightly in PS2 beta and loving it.

I've got 4 halo games, Hardline, dying light all on Xbox one.. I have no intentions of coming back to dust other than my daily login bonus. If I get bored with all of those then I'll play scarlet blade or Runescape(need a different game)

What about the part where you sacrifice a large chicken?
If you need to jump through that many hoops to get PC playable, just take a break. It seems the more PC you play, the worse it will become over time.
Try not playing for a week, than play a few,.
Rinse & repeat.
Always worked for me. But usually PC is bad everywhere for whatever reason. Certainly "echo' has probably helped make it intolerable at this time as well. Never play PC the week of an update.
Pubs are those pesky things that we need to get our SP.
