Just got though playing a Domination, All I did the entire game was sit above the point where no one could get me and drop REs .
After my nanohives ran dry, I would kill myself and go right back.

If "all I did the entire game was sit above the point where no one could get me and drop REs", then why was your favorite weapon was "Dren Shotgun"?
FYI, the weapon you get the most kills with appears in your favorite weapon -- including REs, Grenades, and sidearms.

Well, if it was tested, i'll take your word for it.
Sorry, I have just never seen a grenade or RE's as favorited, I was always under the impression it was whatever weapon you had out the longest.

I hadn't either. Until I was practicing a round just messing with core locus grenades. I was surprised that it came up as my favorite, then we played around a bit with it, arriving at the conclusion above.
That said, I will double check the "out" versus "klilled", as I did not test that variance. |

I do, occasionally, in PC (or when practicing for them). I don't run them much in pubs, however. And TBH, I kind of detest the tactic. |

I would have to see which Catwalk you are talking about, but most of the ones I can think of have some way of taking someone out at that position other than flying a dropship up to get you.

All my RE fits (except 1) have the Boundless variety of remote explosives on them. It's the only way to go.
You have the peace of mind that no infantry survives it regardless of tank and when you succumb to it or see it in the kill feed you know someone is serious 'bout dem RE's.
Plus AV stuff.

I stand corrected. Just ran a few battles, and initial indications are that it's the weapon you have "out" rather than killing or damage that makes it show as your favorite weapon. I'll run some more tests to see if I can get the grenade to be my favorite -- I'm at a loss to explain our observations before (it's been quite some time, perhaps the algorithm changed?).
Regardless, initial test show that's its the weapon you have out (i.e. ready to fire) the most. |
