I'm getting worse, week after week. Both my K/D and my W/L is dropping. I don't think I'm doing anything different, so why am I sucking? I don't think PC is influencing it that much. Just pubs, in general, I'm doing worse in. 
Have you ever gone through a stage where you got worse? What happened in the end; did you recover, or are you forever stuck at where you are now, where you don't improve anymore?

That happens to me too sometimes,I just stop playing until I feel like playing again. Then somehow I won't be as sucky compared to a week ago. Its strange but it works, go take breaks!
How many amarr does it take to change a light bulb? none. The minmatar do it for them

You just shouldn't care. Your performance are influenced by so many things outside you, that you can have many ups and downs. One day you're angry and, well, maybe not so lucid and will make stupid mistakes, the other day your connection fails, another day Scotty decide to put you against a full squad of Third Rock and a full squad of Fatal Absolution (Any resemblance to real events and/or to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental) etc.
You really shouldn't care. If you have a group of mates that knows you are a good player, all your bad performances are a secondary factor. It just happens. Go on and have fun ;)

I suck when i go proto, but get good when i go MLT. I usually suck when i go against other vets, so what I'm saying is, i suck most of the time.
Though I've bested a few vets, only a handful.

I'm always terrible so there's not much difference between my worst and best games. However, that's not to say I do not get those moments when I feel like throwing my controller into the television. If that happens, I change things up a bit or take a break.
Aim to be consistently less than mediocre. Dust is only a game and "trying hard" will only lead to dissapointment and frustration. |

This is called lack of giving a crap.
I have seen this come and go. It will likely lead to taking a short break from Dust or only playing a couple of matches a day.
Do not worry, once you have reached this low you will likely get bored enough with the game that you try some new role or suit or something just to try to maintain interest. This will lead to a rejuvenation of your stats and your time spent in Dust and a return of your stats as you once more apply focus.

There is no other reason. We did what we thought incredibly well in our fits....all of a sudden, those same fits started doing much, much worse. They are adapting beyond all reasonable explanation, and it's a good thing!
Change begets change. Spruce up your stratagems, and you'll find it works very well. I respecced into Gal suits yesterday because my Min playstyle was becoming stagnant, and I'm slaying better than I ever have before. Oftentimes in the 20-30/2-3 mark on my K/D.

Funny enough that's my exact same experience, but then objectives become secondary after you discover the ragdoll effects of the PLC and the skill required to place long-range shots.
Today I actually managed to successfully snipe a couple people off a building today at a ridiculous 60 degree angle, felt really good, way better then using some direct fire weapon.

Not sure what your KD/R was or is, but given the frequency you seem to pull those scores off, I don't see what you're talking about. I'd go ahead and blame the balancing though. As more and more roles get smoothed out, it can be tougher to rise above everyone else... either that, or you started playing a new role? I've noticed you in that Minmatar Assault a few times I believe, not sure if that's a new thing for you or not. You haven't been doing logi work though, have you? Cause that will definitely **** slap your KD/R in the face.

It's probably all the lag your getting from 3 years of stacked coding on CCP's part. Everyones K/D has suffered from 1.7 till now.

If you start to suck more and more its because the meta and behavior of enemy mercs in your server/area/timezone is changing a lot. You need to create more fittings and modify old ones in order to still have fun. The meta is like a cycle. Old fashion eventually becomes new again for a while then it changes slightly again.
Brick tanking became a good counter for my enemies for 2 weeks about 1 month ago. The meta has changed again for me though,
Now ewar is more needed for me again, and heavy suits are also more needed in my matches atm.
That's what I like about DUST 514. The meta is not always fixed. The battlefield is chaotic and dynamic.
I just wish I could save 100 fittings instead of 30 |

I used to have a 7 kd using adv gear, now I struggle to break 4 with pro. I have an issue with my thumb which is part of the reason but I think I just stopped caring about dying like I used to.
I used to play smarter, strafe better and really try not to die. Now I play stupid, do dumb ****, forget to strafe and dint even care anymore.
Now I just play for fun which means more nova knifing which always results in more deaths.
The only real truth in history is that it was bloody.

pretty much this. i have days where it seems that i cant get nothing right. crappy enemies not dying before me but getting killed in an blink of an eye. when crap like that happens i know that something with my connection isnt right (sometimes i'll dc multiple times).

Well, I've mainly noticed it in the last two weeks. I believe my weekly stats are something like a 4.50 K/D and a 2.16 W/L, which I'm actually disappointed with, because my monthly stats are something like a 6.50 K/D and a 4.50 W/L. The previous week was bad too...

It's happened to me a few times -- sometimes you just get in a rut.
The last time it happened was right around the time of the sidarm event. I decided to just say f-it to my KDR and WLR and played mostly solo running nothing but two scrambler pistols. I did this for quite a while, a month or two, and got my skills up. So when I went back to my normal suits, I got quite a bit better overall.
So I'd suggest you changes something up -- run some new weapon, or get a new suit -- and see if that doesn't get you to become better.
Another idea: Your suits/loadouts might have become a bit stale as well -- I'd have someone who has a similar playstyle as you to review your suits to see if you're doing something wrong with your loadout. |

My K/D couldnt get any worse and has stayed pretty much the same through my time in dust (Started in the beta where eve players got access). Still at least it means im as terrible as im goinv to get lol.

The problem is that more often than not, those blues don't know jack about being a team. In those matches, running solo has just as much survivability as sticking with the sitting blob. Imagine mk.0's lobbing core nades and MD rounds into the blue's bunker while two ak.0's with BHMG's storm from the back with several logis. And that SG scout that managed to get in...
Please buff my Magsex. It doesn't hit hard enough...
