A few months back when the new SP cap was implemented, I was pretty vocal about opposing it. People claimed it's not pay to win, because you don't actually win because of buying AUR.
This is no longer the case with the Warbarge.
I think this is a bad direction for DUST514 and I will no longer support CCP if this trend continues.
When you make Legion or DUST1028 or whatever, pay to win will ruin the entire point of the game.

I'm going to disagree with you here.
Nothing about the Warbarge is "pay to win"
By that I mean that anything the warbarge offers can be purchases in game via in game routes.
The Warbarge offers nothing that is "AUR Only" (which would be pay to win)
The Warbarge is just another case of "Pay to Skip Wait" which is what most payment models in F2P games exist as.
With the new missions that offer Warbarge compnents, the guaranteed key per day, and the chance of lockboxes including large sums of Components you can't say that advancing the Warbarge is impossible without money.
It takes more time, but it is not impossible for a free player, thus it is not pay to win. |

Yes, you are able to get passive damage boosts from it (up to 5%)
Again though, that is not pay to win as you are claiming.
A non-playing player can still have access to it via in game means, it just takes more time on their part.
The damage boosting module on the Warbarge is still earn-able in game, and without AUR use. |

See, there's two general P2W definitions:
1: The one you used Avallo
2: A modification of it to where it adds that if it takes a extremely long time to get critical things for endgame content, in which the lab definitely falls under, seeing as we will be able to craft things with it down the road, which is a problem.

A fair point, but I'd argue that with the latest hotfix:
[Guaranteed mission keys, mission salvage, and large salvage options in lockboxes, etc]
that the extremely long times will be reduced for all players (free ones included) and we will see faster progression on the warbarge even without paying Aurum. I'd give the hotfix a bit of time to be active before I would be so quick to judge the current Component gathering rate with that being factored in.
If it's still impossibly long, then I'd be inclined to agree with you, but I am willing to bet it will be substantially reduced for active players. [And I would always argue for better active progression over passive]

Which is why most F2P games are considered terrible and get laughed off when they are announced.
Feel free to defend Dust514, but don't go defending their choice of making the same decision that all the bad F2P games take. |

suggest some better ideas for CCP to make money other than pay to skip the grind. |

If you're going to argue against the Warbarge, pick on the experimental weapons at least. Beating that 5% damage bonus doesn't work too well. If you're going to say it's pay to win because of that, then Dust has always been pay to win with the use of boosters. It's all a matter of time, just like SP, the only difference is that getting enough SP for that gun or suit you want costs less. Warbarge prices are crazy high.
I want to punch.
