Not to sound terribly pessimistic, but is the length of time that will be required for the warbarge to be upgraded without sinking Aurum into it possibly longer than the lifespan of DUST altogether? At this point with no indication that DUST will be porting to PS4 or PC, and absolute silence as far as Legion is concerned, how can we accurately asses the time we have to work with?

You're right. There is no such thing as pay-to-win. Unless they provide an in-game option to spend aurum to automatically win matches. Yes you are right, because you can have a merc pay aurum to buy a damage modifier that increases the damage output by 200%, but if they don't know how to use it, then it's not a definite probability. I spent $40 since the release of Warlords 1.0. All 80,000 aurum went into my warbarge. Let's crunch some numbers shall we...

This is what 80,000 aurum got me:

Warbarge level: 4

Mobile Factory level: 3 - 400 components per day

Market Network level: 2 - 83,941 isk per day

Augmented Ammunition Facility level: 1 - 2% damage

Neural Battle Statistics Center level: 1 - 3,000SP per day

80,000 aurum. 1 component = 3 aurum. It comes out to roughly 27,000 components for 80,000 aurum.

^^^That's what I got for 27,000 components. Now, I wanted to upgrade my Mobile Factory as high as I could get it, so I could produce more components per day and not have to buy aurum, but after upgrading it to level 3, it costs 29,512 components just for the cooldown.

In order for someone to get everything that I have now, without spending aurum, it would take them roughly 6 months. It's freaking ridiculous. Dust is officially Pay-to-win.

Mobile Factory level 1: 200 components per day = 5,600 components per month.
Mobile Factory level 2: 300 components per day = 8,400 components per month.
Mobile Factory level 3: 400 components per day = 11,200 components per month.
Mobile Factory level 4: 500 components per day = 14,000 components per month.
