So you have to pick one and lose the other or spend more AUR to get what you should get for free.

Good job thinking it through CCP.
This is another good post highlighting how this game is p2w.

And how many WB Components does a WB generate per day again?
There are severe issues with the WB, but the Officer Weapon Dispenser Module wanting components is not one of them.
A proper example would be the ridiculous 5% damage module and how many WB components that needs, and that you need at least level 3 to be competitive with anyone who has it.

100. 300 wbc for lvl 1 which makes it 200 per day.
To go from lvl 3 mobile factory (400 per day) to lvl 4 (500 per day) its 25,334 wbc or 75,000+ AUR.
Edit: 100k AUR is $50usd.

To go from 4-5 Weapon Lab you spent about 300K AUR, not counting the cooldown cost which was another 315K AUR minimum.

For you guys who play Eve, Warbarges are Dust's planetary management. It's something that runs in the background with very little/ no maintenance except checking it once every few days. It's not a way to make a living/ lots of ISK/ assets, but it does give you a little more than you had before.

As an EVE player I agree with you with the notable exception that no where in EVE do you gain a 5% damage boost from having a bunch of crap on some planets, crap that other people can destroy if I might add.
If CCP would remove that 5% damage boost (Hell I dropped 400K AUR on it, I should be biased FOR it not AGAINST it) then I would not be so irritated by the WB.
Yes, the ISK module is icing, so is the SP module, the lab is meh considering it is utterly random and only with a "chance" of a high level object, but it is the damage armory module which is unbalancing.
I basically can get a free Complex Heavy Damage Mod for all my sents, without stacking penalties. This is not okay.

Guys.. type p2w in google. Surely you don't know what it means.
This game would be p2w if, for eg. : you could buy for aur gun that deals 2x more dmg than one for isk. - You can't.
What can you get using aur [that you can't with isk] More sp, faster way to get 5% bonus dmg, few % of bonus isk, sp. That's all.
I don't like what they're [CCP] doing but it's not p2w.

I'm an Eve Online player and I agree with this. I have six colonies that I'm using to produce Nanite Repair Paste and are very lucrative when harvesting the P2 components. But like you said, Planetary Interaction is just like the WB in Dust. No real continuous input is required. And just like the WB, if you don't check in enough, you might lose a cycle or two when your storage is filled up to the limit. Happened to me in Eve. I lose nearly 10 million ISK in potential profits because I lapsed on my 3-day check-in.

So you'd be okay if CCP released an EVEO item that you could buy for a few hundred dollars that would raise your DPS by another 5% no stacking penalties? You could grind for a year without paying and get 1%, a few years and get 2%, or a decade and see a sweet 4%?

Good job thinking it through CCP. This is another good post highlighting how this game is p2w.
Yes you can gain Loyalty rank without spending Aurum... But it will take you several years as a human with any sort of life outside of video games just to gain one level in the middle of the range....
7 years to gain one level at 10 matches per day...... Or spend Aurum..... Is Pay Too Win..... The entire idea of pay to get sooner expires when it takes you longer then a few months of grinding.
The Warbarge just should of been a giant cow with dollar signs as it's spots. Like why try and lie to us like it's not.
CCP is about to turn it's loyal player base against itself in every comment about this game in just one patch.
All the work they have done to walk the fine line and undone by two terrible patches. |

I'm far from rich, but do well enough for myself to throw a little money at this game time to time because I enjoy playing it. I assure you having a maxed out warbarge doesn't give you the ability to officer stomp Even at level five experimental factory you only have a chance at receiving one random officer weapon a day. That hardly gives you the ability to officer stomp.

I don't like what they're [CCP] doing but it's not p2w. without paying aur you are going to wait 6 months to get that 5% damage, a bonus that everyone will need in this game, as this game is about killing others, that then becomes pay to win. |
