My biggest mistake is spreading my SP all across the board, having multiple different suits and roles. Now this wouldn't be bad for someone with 50+ mil SP but I have 37 mil and don't have a proto suit ;-;

The passives alone make it a pretty cool suit. It's a shame CCP got rid of Range Enhancers.

Works if you don't try to ninja scout or run in close like an assault. As a long to mid range support fire that can move up, back or elsewhere faster it is great.

After some thought, i believe it is a suit made for running in and placing uplinks. Uplinks fit better into amarr suits anyway. Remember, it is a SCOUT not an assault

The amarr scouts' bonus is useless since CCP has removed passive scans.
As far as the best slayer scout: Caldari by a long shot. 453 shield with a 3 seconds delay, 50 regen a second...not to mention that it gets a dampening bonus and i can stack reactives for 672 eHp at 6.5 reps/second with a profile of around 23.

It's almost a good suit, but needs some work to use effectively
My issues...
- Precision Bonus is not strong enough, and putting 2 Precision mods is suicide
- Range is abysmal (even with max skills and a complex mod = less than a logi)
- Speed and lowslots = to Matari Assault, leaving that as a better scout
- 4 lows mean little, when it NEEDS hp/damps/speed/rep/range to be effective
I have all four Scouts, and will likely keep the Amarr but *fingers crossed* it receives a well needed buff
- Better Scan Precision (if it is going to be a slow ass Scout Hunter, at least let it see them all)
- Better speed (should be a notch faster than Matari Assault, but slower than other scouts)
- Bonus switch from stamina buff to Biotics efficiency would be great

Well CCP can start by giving it the same bonus as the caldari scout on top of its current bonuses or increasing it's base range. Then they can go ahead and take away the penalty because for 4% speed penalty, we only get 40 armor.
A 4% speed penalty is what you get when you put a enhanced armor plate on but CCP never thinks about that stuff so we only get 40 extra armor. Not to mention we lost shield aswell.

What do u mean "Don't plan on investing?"
No matter how much you invest in this junk, any other scout can do what this scout does and probably way better. Not to mention, every other scout is a much better slayer.

Try an Amarr Logi A/1 with 3 complex precision enhancers, an advanced rifle, full set of equipment and as much armor as you dare to stack. You get to be an efficient Logi while scanning the above mentioned Caldari Slayer Scout up to 37.5 meters. |

The Amarr scout, for a time, was a beast suit in that it provided stellar scans for your squad.
With the EWAR scanning range change (i.e. concentric circles with falloff), the suit's usefulness has been nerfed into oblivion.
These days the only time I use the suit is when starting PCs -- it's got 4 kincats and runs at 10.7 m/s. |

Why do that? with the amarr scout I can scan at 16db short range 7.5m and 19db long range 30m
The amarr logi cant scan anywhere near that |

My biggest mistake : Buying a respec and then proceeding to skill into Min assault, gal assault and min sentinel. 2 months after the respec i realised that i actually really wanted and would would have fun with Cal assault, amarr assault and min scout. Caldari assault can use rr, ar and cr quite nicely, amarr can help melt all of the fotm min assaults with a viziam and i barely use heavy (just not my thing but if i could choose a heavy suit, it would be caldari bc quad dmg modded Ishy assault Forge) I'm getting more into slashing and neauteting people. Sad ;c
