By playing defensively and waiting for the opponent to rush in, all one has to do is: Hold left+down on the Left Analog Stick, hold far right on the Right analog stick, press, hold and release R1. The win is usually secured right there in that little side-step. The worst thing to do--which a lot of knifers attempt--is a sprinting jump charge attack. That tactic is better used to catch enemies who are running away: not for going head-on against someone who is also wielding a pair of knives...

Just a couple of hours ago, I saw a player named ohaigirl who had some knives out and I'm sure he/she saw that I had mine out as well. We ended up running a good distance away from the objective during a Dom game just to have a knife battle where no one could disturb us.

Also, why is it so rare for a good number of you to have honorable knife duels? In the last 4 games I've played, I fought two. One was ohaigirl as mentioned earlier and the other was a CalScout who could have won. He landed one uncharged swipe on me and then some blueberry asswipe came up from behind and shot him dead...
