to take the offensive in a knifing duel? By playing defensively and waiting for the opponent to rush in, all one has to do is:
Hold left+down on the Left Analog Stick, hold far right on the Right analog stick, press, hold and release R1.
The win is usually secured right there in that little side-step. The worst thing to do--which a lot of knifers attempt--is a sprinting jump charge attack. That tactic is better used to catch enemies who are running away: not for going head-on against someone who is also wielding a pair of knives... |

Damn, those players are asses. I guess I've been lucky to have fought people who actually practice honorable knife duels. Just a couple of hours ago, I saw a player named ohaigirl who had some knives out and I'm sure he/she saw that I had mine out as well. We ended up running a good distance away from the objective during a Dom game just to have a knife battle where no one could disturb us. |

They are so eager because they want kills but most of the times it goes wrong and instead of getting a kill they die 
But it is possible to kill a knifer with a jumping charge attack.
I killed some knifers that way. It is like fighting a bull.

Nova Knifers United. Lots of people in there will knife duel if you see them.
On the OP topic, because I suck at knife duels. Especially lately. Sometimes I feign going in to make the other person react first. Either way, I usually die, or am surprised I won.

Would be very interesting and fun to have two min sentinels without damage mods and with basic knives duel. It would take several hits which would make it much more enetertaining.
Nova knives United should host a que synch fw where we all gather with basic knives and watch each other duel.
Some 1vrs1 and even 2vrs2 or 3vrs3

But when it comes to jumping those with a gun clearly ready to shoot, there is no other choice but to attack from behind.

As far as I am concerned, I respect any knifing kill on me whether from behind, while hacking, or anything else.
I know what you mean though. While I Minja, I came across Boromir (sic) and some others like Lightening who would Speed tank, and simply gave up chasing them. I wanted to knife them so bad...

I actually did this with Draxus and Parkour; was a lot of fun  We should totally do it again; maybe our resident out-of-retirement youtuber could record it for us
