Logis are really underpowered due to problems with light suits. Light suits, mostly scouts, have too much armor and too many equipment slots. A scout can run around like "Mario" and kill everything with RE`s and shotguns. Now that is understandable to a point to where you cannot even a hit marker in him. Going back to the point scouts have too many equipment slots and too much armor. Top three reasons why scouts are taking over a logis job:
1) Too many equipment slots
2) Way too much armor
3) Too small/ fast to even get a hit marker on them.
Now its not the scouts fault, mainly logistics are really underpowered suit wise. By this I mean they DO NOT have enough armor and shield. A logis job is to help its team out any way necessary. 95% of the time your right by the enemy all the time. So when you get bombarded by shotguns, mass drivers, grenades, heavys, plasma cannons, RE`s ( Remote Explosives), and rail rifles it gets annoying really fast. So logis need more armor and shields because they take most of the hits.

Holy, you play this game far too little to have so much to say about it, like I saw you on maybe 4 times from beginning of december to 10th or so of january, and every single one of those days I was pulling 14 hours and sometimes 48 hour dust shifts and I very rarely saw you on and same of the rest of the corp |

In Eve you have two choices for logi. You can either be small and fast or be a big slow tank that is tough to restroy but really your team has to come to you. I think we should have a similar idea here where we have a light suit logi that can only carry lower grade repair equipment or a fat slow heavy type suit that carries higher grade equipment but really can not move much on its own. The heavier suit should not be able to operate a vehicle at all but can ride as a passenger.
To achieve this effect a new version of current equipment would be created one that has been highly nerfed and one that has been highly buffed. The buffed ones would have outrageously high CPU/PG requirements so that it can not be used on any suit and the heavy logi would receive a role bonus making this possible. The use of multiple large grade pieces of equipment should significantly negate the ability to tank and it should have minimal high and low slots even at proto level.
Both suits would have only 1 light weapon slot.
The heavy logi would start with similar eHP to each races commando suit and receive bonus resistances per level to all types of weapon damage. This suit would be far slower than even a sentinel but be able to jump a bit higher to atleast get over curbs. Since this could still become something only a heavy can fight it could possibly only have a sidearm slot instead of a light weapon.
The light logi would receive bonuses to speed and passive scans per level. Passive scans should be relative to the current scout eWar setup only scaled down a little bit. |

Logistics wouldn't be UP if were balanced.
In every game ever made you can either be fast and evasive but easily killed (scouts). Or durable and slow.(heavies) Or even a "jack of all trades" (supposedly assaults) and suffer because you didn't pick speed or eHP.(which isn't happening)
Until Dust 514,i've never encountered a loss of survival by speed and eHP to be a requirement for a role,literally every other game i've played has always given one in exchange for the other.
I've even encountered the following: "Low eHP and speed? Here take some damage resistance."
And this was done by a game company that's been around for 10 years? Crazy!
Assaults are on the opposite end of the scale,suffering the same imbalances just with more approval from CCP.
And balancing logistics would require CCP to balance assaults,a thing they just don't want to do.
So,they'll happily let logistics rot,just so assaults can stay OP.

I completely agree on this. I feel that Scouts should have 1 Equipment Slot and 1 spot that can only fit the Cloak. My Caldari Scout has the same number of Equipment Slots as a basic Caldari/Amarr Scout. That is lame.

This is a really silly argument. "Logis are there to help their team out any way they can. Most of the time, that involves being in combat, so Logistics needs more health." Your conclusion also does not follow. Logistics do not take most of the hits and it certainly doesn't make sense to say "Logistics are support, supports are in close range, therefore Logis take most of the hits and need more Armor and Shield." I have an argument for Scouts then:
"Scouts job is to help their team in anyway they can. This usually means being invisible and flanking the enemy. Flanking the enemy usually means running around them. Scouts needs more damage because they are usually running."
The only things I would change about Logistics, at least the only things I can think of with this headache I have from too little sleep, are reducing the insane price of equipment, giving Caldari/Amarr Logistics 3 Equipment Slots at basic level, and possibly making the scaling on Uplinks less sharp (+50%, +8%, -21%).

I would argue that based on our suits that are painted in "LOOK!!! Here I am!!" Yellow, Logi's are the first targeted once in the open. If a logi is around a corner, repping a Heavy in a hallway then sure, we're not the first target. Step out in that same hallway and fire switches from the heavy to the logi in a second. With us gone, the redberries can finally kill that heavy.
I know this, as I play both sides of that coin. I'm nearly always a logi in some aspect. I also try and kill the opposing team. If I realize there's a logi helping the other team while I'm trying to kill them, you're damn sure I'm taking the logi out as soon as I can.
As a logi, I'd love some better armor and shields, with the requisite speed to keep up. What it would take to balance them out again so that everyone doesn't switch back to the Slayer Logi of old, I don't know
