Will the "lab" be modular? Let's say don't want 5% more damage because i'm a good shot.
What if instead i wanted all 'experiment' efforts to go into capacity? Or maybe 50/50 magazine capacity and carry capacity?
Or how about resource cost reduction (pg/cpu) of a weapon type? Same stats,less fitting.
And what everyone was expecting me to talk about,equipment. Injectors that refill health and ammo?
Injectors dedicated to shields/armor that give temporary bonuses,like damage resistance.
Rep tools with more lock targets. Rep tools with longer range (putting the flux to shame). Burst rep tool (think charged sniper).
Cloaked and silent uplinks/hives?

So i'll be forced to play CalFW for my C-27N Specialist Sniper Rifle? (The ADV Salvage only one)
and think of all the people who will be easily making officer gear. Remember, a lot of people have a nearly unlimited supply of ISK.
