A lot has been said about the lackluster nature of the Gallente Assault bonuses. Having skilled into galass I've now seen it in action and I have to say I'm not sure I agree with that sentiment. It has actually helped me get kills where before I'd have no chance. You really appreciate it when targets are at the limits of AR range and you are still accurate after sustained fire, or with a tighter reticle when hipfiring.
I put off skilling into Galass for a long time hoping they would get a better bonus. Now, I'm not sure I would trade for anything else.

The bonus is great for what the GalAss is meant for. CQC encounters. Nothing beats being accurate while not having to aim in CQC.

It indirectly boosts damage and ammo conservation. The more accurate you are the faster you deal damage and less ammo is consumed.

Just the other day in Gen Discuss, I told someone that 5 AR operation + 5 AR sharpshooter + 5 GAssault bonuses makes the moving/standing hip-fire on a breach relatively the same.
Gallente Assault is a nice hidden gem!

if someone I know and accept as a decent galassault player doesn't agree with this post I'm going to check the posters to see if this is an altpost circlejerk.
everyone historically hates the galass bonuses and now we have three who manage to have a small conversation before someone sh*ts kittens?
This reeks of the kind of altposting and bait that's against the ToS.

Gal assault bonus is excellent but because it isn't an obvious damage/tank buff it gets written off by people who don't know how to utilise it properly.

I've run across Buwaro and Jaeger in game before. They don't strike me as the same person although anything is possible I suppose. |

when paired witht eh 'proper' weapon (breach) the assault bonus works fantastically and it just needs ot be used correctly, also the APEX logi/assault rifles need swapping. i've mentioned a few times that the caldari assault could do with being changed to a mirror of the gallente assault as a way to 'fix' rail rifles.
If caldari assault got 5% reduction to hybrid - rail scoped kick and dispertion it would both set it apart form the commando and encourage the suit to be used as intended, as a mid-long range cover fire suit and leaving the commando as the 'jack of all trades' suit

in all seriousness though, your experiences have been different than mine - i find the tigher hipfire detrimental in Strafe514, and the AR is already more than accurate enough that the ranges where its effective, and no ammount of accuracy is going to make up for the damage loss at range. I suppose the bonuses could be considered useful with the TAR and burst but thats simply too limited.
As far as im concerned, the gal and cal assault bonuses got mixed up at some point and would be better off swapped. |

Everyone who that hates the GalAss bonus is because MinAss and AmAss bonus over shadow it. Both of thier bonuses lets you sustain fire for longer and since their racial weapons hit pretty hard, people love it.
I foresee a an increase in TTK in the future. Which will help GalAss shine even more with it's bonus.
Tho the CalAssault bonus is bad.

Rattati is thinking of adding a bonud that will reduce kick when aiming or will decrease the spool up time.
I don't believe he has made official wich one he choose.

Well, if they are to add new bonuses in addition to what is there, I suggest one of the following for Gallente Assault:
+1% bonus per level to either
--Profile
--Precision
--Stamina
I am partial to stamina, helps get around quicker

finally someone has realised jhust how bullshit the Gall assault can be.
now take its bonus. and try the following weapons in this order.
shotgun
ionpistol
plasma cannon.
now here we have 4 weapons all nicely bonused by the gall assault. what other suit can say this?
shotgun: I swear it shoots a straight line.
ion pistol: basically a combo of ar/sg
plasma cannon: can arc/angle well from hip without having to bring the cannon in from l1.

I really think that the bonus works for the TAR more than anything else, and is actually the reason I think that the GalAss is the most used PC assault.
