I am watching a friend of mine play dust recently. And im noticing more people leaving the battles. Is this game that bad? The game hardly started and its 100 blue to 140 red and more that a third of the blue team leave before half way into the game. This has happened of 4 matches already. My buddy and I are playing zombies on black ops cuz dust was to dissapointing with its members leaving.

CCP really needs to get on this if they want people keep playing this game. I too remember thpes fun days when a loosing battle was turned around last minute and hard work payed off. I do feel like playing trust me I really want to but I know as soon as I go in ill be dissapointed by all the things that are wrong with the game. Most games dont have these sort of issues unless people cheat. Like in cod you got people with aim bots and god mode. On dust you have everything wrong. People dont like maps, terrain, flavors of the month and so much more. Its not worth tje rage n stress. Some gamers can handle it. I dont want to put up with it no matter how much I missed the old days when I had fun. My friend yells at the tv and as do when to many little problems happen in the game at once over and over.

People padding their W/L ratio by leaving is just sad. How about you still "ear" that win or loss if you've been in the match for more than 50% of its length. Then they have no reason to leave when the MCC hits shields.
But then, most of all I just want the stupid matchmaking to stop spawning me into matches where there's 25% armor left of the MCC or less than X clones. Spawning into a match that just ends is neither fun nor helpful.

CCP Shanghai has built the rewards this way. It is their fault.
You aren't rewarded for trying... You aren't rewarded for success in your attempts...
Your just rewarded with a Giant ISK Bill at the end of a match and Barely enough Wage from the match to cover half of the cost.
We aren't rewarded for having good competition in DUST until you get to PC.....
And even there, one side is completely screwed over even if there was a decent fight. As clones and the concept around them is just an abysmal desolate wasteland left from a Nerf bomb.
Meh. But you got Keys and Shinny lockboxes? managed by a group of monkeys who don't own a calculator. |

It is a natural result of the endless stomping that occurs.
People do not feel like running around with their only accomplishment in the match being that they provided easy kills to stompers. I die often trying to push the objective only to find out that my team is nowhere near me because someone set uplinks between the objective and the enemy base and now the whole team is spawning into a death pincer. Dying won't make people leave the match alone, dying without being able to take enemies with you or accomplish what you are trying to accomplish over and over again makes people leave the match.
Not all stomps end like that. If the team can still fight back and hold off the advancing stompers, even at the redline, the match can still be fun, but when your entire team has fallen apart and you notice a good number uselessly sniping in the redline it is time to say "screw you guys, I'm going home." and leave.
I do not enjoy leaving matches and have only done so a handful of times, but I totally understand why people don't want to spend fifteen minutes dying so some bitter vet can pad their stats.
People play a game to have fun. People do not play a game so other people can have fun at the expense of their own match, after match, after match. It's frustrating, annoying, and downright absurd that this has been going on for as long as it has. Dust is a F2P FPS on PS3 with 3000 players. Obviously there is something terribly wrong here. |

If you are going negative on ISK, maybe use less expensive gear. I put a rounded cost figure next to each fit so I can quickly decide, based on the conditions on the ground, what fit will get me the most bang for the buck.

I'm a full proto logi but I don't run that gear, in pubs especially (and solo), because one **** in a mlt light frame with a mlt sg can instantly cost me 200k. I'll never recoup that in a pub so f**k that noise. Bpo's are where it's at.

I've seen this too OP.
Last night, tried a Dom match solo.
Saw a group of Capital Acquisitions LLC on my team, saw a nice group of Outer Heaven on the other side. I said, "Nice. Okay, I'll stick around. If those guys try. I'll try too."
Jumped in with my experimental adv gal assault suit, and started wrecking face.
Very good match, very close match. And when both sides were at the last 25% on MCC, suddenly all the blues on my team stopped moving. They all just stayed back. I was covering the LLC guys and everyone I could. Was a GREAT match. Went 33/9. Not half bad when facing OH, and half decent blueberries.
But we lost, because our side gave up. They had no reason to stop. We had a slight disadvantage on clones, but more than enough to win. I made out with over 500k isk, even though we LOST. So I made a tidy profit. My suits were about 40k isk a pop. I was wrecking a lot of proto in that match. If they only stuck it out and won, they probably would've gotten back a LOT of isk.
I messaged rexero on the other side and told them GG.
It sucks to see a good team give up.

What I really don't understand is those that sit in the redline during FW.
Because you get a couple of proto suits worth of LP for losing and it's already an ISK sink.
