When the best counter to something is itself you know there is a problem. The most viable, effective method of dealing with large numbers of logis and heavies in an enclosed objective is simply zerging them with more heavies and logis than they do. There's a reason the hmg is the most popular weapon in pc.

Can you not simply let them waste resources on a single point and go elsewhere?
Or use those impossible-to-avoid, never-miss frisbee RE's I keep hearing about?

On a cargo hub 2 of the 4 objectives can easily be held by 10 players. That leaves an entire squad to defend the home point.

Ok, knock this off. This is the third post of this same topic. Get original! Oh, and heavies hate open spaces. If a squad of guys is running you over or holding a point, go somewhere else. If it is dom then good luck and get skillz.

Flux grenades in the pocket, Mass drivers and Combat rifles...
I see pill boxes and pocket objectives cleared of heavies all the time.
Usually by a team working together from all available angles.
And a solo heavy is not the answer to take out 3+ heavies with logi support... you die.

Yeah I might believe you, but i've witnessed scouts take out heavies n a logi(remote explosives). Can't tell you how many times i've witnessed this tactic in Dom matches, not to mention MASS DRIVERS. Your going to have good matches n not so good matches. But please don't run to the forums when your still pissed over a bad game. |

Being a good logi requires effort. Bad logis are a dime a dozen.
I dabble in every aspect of this game, and by far, surviving as a logi is the most difficult at this point in the game. People seem to forget what happens when those heavies get core locus grenades chunked at them, or who the first target of a scout ambush is.. Logis typically pay the price. Surviving as a logi can easily be one of the most difficult things to achieve in this game, especially playing solo as I do. Either way, I'd suggest being a logi before knocking it. |

There's nothing they can do to the hmg except affect its range. I think there should be a sharp decline in damage after 25m
Either that or give me warpoints when I do serious damage to a heavy but run out of ammo and die because of bzzzzzzzttttthhhh |

explosives such as mines, mass drivers ect. they are a bigger and slower targets so they are cake to hit. take out the healing logi first for if they are healing they are slow moving targets. shooting it out with a sentile logi combo is just plain stupid. lure them out into the open, into traps. and fight from far away. their chain gun is useless if it's long ranged.

False. the best way to handle this situation is with grenades, RE, and other explosives. Why does nobody take stealth seriously in dust? it truly is an art.

They even switched all objectives now to where they are funnels of CQC.
And since the HMG is lethal at 50m and less, what better to use around objectives?
This is why it's either HMG spam, or RE spam.
I believe in teamwork, but a sentinel suit with a HMG is crazy OP
