I wish we had enough people that used the scrambler to comment on it...... It seems people get mad when you kill them with weapons they cant use.... (although you people that are pro nerf will act like you use it to gain whatever credibility you can to further your own self interest ) I've ran the scrambler since I started in late 1.8....and I rarely see another Amarr assault on the other team tearing through people like I do, but when I do its a proto suit with speed and health comparable to a heavy.... last I remember from the Scr Nerf threads was a bunch of shield based preferring players commenting on a weapon they had no experience on .... enough with the pathos now for some logic....
The amarr assault has 35 more ehp then the Gall (thats supposed to be our defining attribute Lmfao) If an amarr suit with a Scr fought a gal suit with a TAcAR that had the exact same module loadout and they both shot 24 shots and missed most of their shots....who would come out on top most likely? is it the slower 35 more Hp amarr or the gal? Ill go with the gal for 3 reason
1. The 35 more ehp we have is nullified when you take 50 damage to the face from an over heat.... 2. 5 seconds of over heat then the optional reload of 2.5 seconds ( or get stuck with 6 shots to take down a fully reloaded enemy) while the gal only has to use less than half the time to be ready to unload his clip.... 3. Better damage profile to suit the current meta... 4. Related issue: (why would you cut down on a weapons clip by 33%?) did we get 33 percent more kills than everyone?

Most Amarr assault seem to not care but that clip nerf hit me like a bomb especially with this games auto reload feature( which needs to be ninja nerf to the domain that is the Cal logi) I find myself looking at my heat build up and ammo 24/7 while the TAR just gets to sit back with that 24 clip (same amount of shots a FULLY PROTO'ED out assault ak.0 can fire before overheat to which I get to stand there and do the Texas two step in till I either die or hopefully get shoot those 6 remaining bullets. But yeah its a gucci since data says so.
P.s. risk vs reward the Tar is a better choice.

Anyone who is truly skilled with a ScR can murder everyone in std gear. I used to use it back in 2013 but I'm pure minmatar now and only use minmatar based weapons. It's a good weapon but people want easier to use weapons that also get them a lot of kills Though there are few ScR users, I see plenty enough on some occasions during battle. Actually I've been seeing them regularly now.

You can destroy any amount of shields in the game in under a quarter of a second, if you dont think thats overpowering against shield tanked fits, you are insane. Im going to keep hammering away at this point: its much much worse than the time mass drivers were overpowered because they had the same damage profile against armor that the scrambler has now against shields, and mass driver dps was LOWER than scrambler damage is now. In addition its doing more damage to a smaller hp pool, because shields cant fit as much HP as armor fits. The scrambler is genuinely straight up no holds barred overpowered against shield fits and it needs to be rebalanced to stop it.
You are also talking like the overheat on the scrambler is unavoidable. It isnt. You can stop shooting to let it cool down. Fun fact, you can also reload while its cooling down to kill two birds with one stone. You also have a sidearm, you can use it while heat is dissipating from your scrambler if you absolutely have to kill someone right now or if you have run out of ammo in the clip. |

ScR is dead. I only pull mine out to fend off cal-scouts anymore.
CCP says buy a respec for the new FOTM, gal-ass with TacAR. Luckily, I already had the AR specced. Now I just have to spec the Gal-ass.
I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

So shield fits have 1 weakness and its unfair? The majority of weapons on the field are armor damaging. Even a gek tears through my amarr logi. ScR worse than the MD? The MD would KILL you once it crushed your armor. Flux+MD was insane, trust me, I was a pro at it.
The ScR melts shields yes, it's designed to. The Tac also melts shields and then eats up armor after, while the ScR is struggling not to overheat to finish you off. The recent nerfs to the ScR have made it unusable to about anything but an am-ass. The charge shot is the only thing the ScR has left, and it only works on Caldari and scouts..
I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

The amarr I come across are always easily dispatched....There are a total of 4 people I can remember I've had trouble killing in a amarr suit and that is Sax,Darth, General EXLY or something like that and a corp mate Nya +a few other people I cant recall but Ill say " bignames" because that's what seems to catch a lot of you forum fanboys attentions.

Ahhh Nya's cool, I remember her (him?) & I were in a Fw camping the matars redline which soon turned into a competition of who can kill the most scrubs. Anyway we killed a few in mid air while they were jumping out their mcc and we only lost 3 clones that match.

I'm using a Std SCR on my gal scout with quite good results...it's still one of my preferred weapons against proto tryhards when I 1vs1 them. the last nerf is noticeable but not as much as I thought. the problem is lag... when there's lag around the weapon is completely unusable. it will overheat pretty fast without even harming militia suits. I had a gametoday against a proto min assault (his name sounded Mexican) and he was lagging / teleporting so hard that I didn't even scratched his shields before he instagibbed me with his six kin CR. maybe I'll test the tac ar and compare them both, to see which weapon is more viable. |

I still fear skilled Am Assaults with a ScR for its combination of a charged alpha shot and very fast follow-up shots.

I like the Amarr ass and scr but as I currently have a TFCC tear I'm not really in the mood to tap the trigger. If you're good and don't rely on spamming bullets then it's a really good suit if not the best assault.

The ScR is still a monster. Nothing takes out shields quite like a triple damage-modded viziam. And seriously, a true master of the ScR rarely overheats, because he knows not to spam the trigger. I'm no master, but I'm at least smart enough to switch to my sidearm before I overheat.
And enough with the Tac AR QQ. I don't understand the reason for nerfing the ScR's clip size so heavily, nor do I agree with it, but don't start a QQ bandwagon about how "terrible" it is in comparison to the Tac AR now. Not only does the Tac kick like a damn mule, but it also has less range along with the lack of a charged shot.

I have used the ScR since basically day one, and these last couple weeks I have barely touched it over the Tac.
Edit: as far as the charged shot, it only works on caldari and scouts, anyone else you will kill them quicker just by firing normally. The damage profile also negates any range benefit the weapon has. The Tac destroys any non-shield fit quicker in the ScR optimal than a ScR does.

I agree, the clip nerf was a bad decision. it is a double penalty to ScR users. first you have a mechanic that prevents constant shooting (heat, you need to wait till it goes down) then you have to reload which is another mechanic that prevents you from shooting.
a simple small nerf to heat generation would have done it but it looks like balance decisions are done with coin tosses

btw, someone has a decent fit to share, I cant decide how to fit my gallante assault. at the beginning I just wanted to do it like with my amarr assault double rep, tripple ferros, tripple damages mods but double reps, tripple reactives sound fun. 30 repair per second is pretty cool. |

Either one of those are fine, some of the gal loyalist even add a kin cat to the mix for a bit of speed. But from my knowledge their highs either have a shield extender with 2 damage mods or 2 damage mods with a precision enhancer.

The ScR melts shields yes, it's designed to. The Tac also melts shields and then eats up armor after, while the ScR is struggling not to overheat to finish you off. The recent nerfs to the ScR have made it unusable to about anything but an am-ass. The charge shot is the only thing the ScR has left, and it only works on Caldari and scouts..
The ScR has the most drawbacks of any weapon in the game.
Seize time comparable to the HMG on over heat. Damage dealt to self, possibly even commit suicide on overheat. Damage dealt to armor is a joke without a damage mod applied.
What is so special about the ScR that it gets dumped on worse than anything else in the game?
With a non Amarr Assault it is near unusable. With an Amarr Assault you still have to worry about being out classed big time by most other weapons.

Also the amarr assault suit sucks balls without a Scr in hand....if you dont want to fix the scrambler then buff the suit itself....like when the min got an ehp buff.....Amarr need a Stamina and/or movement/sprint speed buff. The ScR is still a monster. Nothing takes out shields quite like a triple damage-modded viziam. And seriously, a true master of the ScR rarely overheats, because he knows not to spam the trigger. I'm no master, but I'm at least smart enough to switch to my sidearm before I overheat. And enough with the Tac AR QQ. I don't understand the reason for nerfing the ScR's clip size so heavily, nor do I agree with it, but don't start a QQ bandwagon about how "terrible" it is in comparison to the Tac AR now. Not only does the Tac kick like a damn mule, but it also has less range along with the lack of a charged shot. The kick on the TAR is barely noticable on the GalAss, even at adv. I have used the ScR since basically day one, and these last couple weeks I have barely touched it over the Tac. Edit: as far as the charged shot, it only works on caldari and scouts, anyone else you will kill them quicker just by firing normally. The damage profile also negates any range benefit the weapon has. The Tac destroys any non-shield fit quicker in the ScR optimal than a ScR does. I don't see how a different damage profile can negate the range benefit. The Tac struggles out at 50m whereas the ScR still packs quite the punch. And regarding the charged shot, I disagree. It's alpha damage is incredible, especially when you catch your enemy off guard.
I don't understand the cause for such uproar. I've been a long-time Tac user. It finally gets a buff to it's clip size, a smaller buff then Rattati originally wanted to impose mind you, and it got that RoF buff a while back. That's it. If the ScR would've remained un-nerfed, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Im not really trying to get the Tac nerfed, I was a Tac user before the ScR even existed. I love the new Tac. I was just commenting on how the recent nerfs to the ScR plus the buffs to the TaR has basically just switched my use of the two weapons. The ScR is now a VERY situational weapon, plus it takes more "skill" to use. If you're not using proto (and damage mods out the @ss,) the TaR is where its at.
I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.
