If you don't then you need to be good or selective, Only bring it out in pubs after checking how quickly armor gets destroyed. |

I use my Python to kill roof campers, scouts, uplinks, logi/heavy squads and vehicles
I don't use my Python to kill av/people in buildings/redline tanks/installations
Only call in your Python when the above situations are present

If you want to go into PC, yes.
ADS pilots are a necessity and often have to ring for everyone's corp.
You'll make up the money you lose...maybe.
You have to be damn good though.
I can't count on two hands and half a foot the pilots that have the skills for PC.

Only if you squad regularly. Solo piloting is painful unless all you want to do is run away most of the match.
Im officially out of ISK after years of flying, but some day ill go back to it.

Where is this whining you speak of? A lot of people may hate DS but I haven't seen a nerf thread in ages.

If you like having fun then they're a blast.
You need an alternative way to earn isk or you can fly DS with a CRU and links and fly safely for a few games in between to stay isk positive.
You also need to learn to fly well. You mainly need to learn to perform evasive maneuvering. Don't go ADS until you can keep a regular DS alive.
Flying AND trying to shoot is hard until you get used to it and you can't just hover slowly over a target anymore without getting a swarm or FG scrub camping a safe spot on a roof and sipping his beer waiting for someone like you to give him his thrill.
You need to stay moving while firing and know how to quickly evade and recover. Be ready to get a nosebleed swooping and diving and rolling. WHAT A BLAST WHEN YOU LEARN TO FLY WELL.
Blasters don't hit crap except uplinks, but is a good area of denial weapon to spray around and fun to strafe with. Missile is the best all around turret for infantry kills and tank harrassment. Rail is hard to learn to aim with, but is the main AV weapon.
Warning: watch taking off and hitting the MCC.

It can be fun when there isnt a lot of AV shutting you down and making you play cautious. Just dont turn into one of those jackholes who thinks the ADS needs to be buffed into invincibility just because they dont want to make the game actually balanced. |
