So i keep perma freezing once every 5 matches, this is very frustrating! Especially since i then have to reboot my PS3 + i get no reward from playing on the map, and since i usually drop a tank just for fun i lost my tank + my reward.

Every 5 matches? Have you noticed if it is only when in a vehicle? I have had to reboot the PS3 only twice in the whole weekend (which I have to say it isn't unusual for PS3 games), and I've played something like 3 hours in a row, but never used vehicles, that's why I'm asking.

The place where i froze the most were in the final area of the objective map. Especially around objective B. In the desert i am usually fine.

apparently CCP is against me, for everytime I have a good match and am on a roll, I lock up, have to quit the game, lose any SP, AND ANY DROPSUITS AND GEAR I HAD. QQ

Last weekend I didn't have any issues w/ freezes. Today alone I've had 4.

So far ive not been able to finish a single game without a freeze this weekend,ill come back and test once you fix this CCP

right now playing is a waste of ISK for me since i never get any rewards

have you tried not playing in skirmish? have you tried playing in the different max players matches?

i know most of everyone was flat out in the craterlake skirmish (32 max player). i started in the 24 max player for a little while with no problem. then spent the majority of the rest of my night on to craterlake as that was where everyone was at. only 3 hard freezes in probably 8 hours.

I've noticed with the permafreeze, the client remains connected to the match. Until you turn off your system or the dropsuit selection would normally kick you, you are still in the match. If this happens towards the end of a match (1-3mins left), you can leave your system alone and take a good estimate for when it has finished, you'll still receive your match SP.

but for those with a mic, please give us a confirmation when the battle is over and you are at the summary screen before you exit the battle, so we can confirm for certain that it is all over before we reboot.

Had a few of these happen to me as well. Twice were immediately upon respawning. The other times were in combat. Once it occurred while I was firing. The steady drone of my assault rifle endless discharging was strangely soothing. Each occurrance required a reboot of the PS3.

Getting freezes/crashes as well. Usually on drop suit selection, and a few times when the client is loading textures in the skirmish fortifications (never seems to happen in ambush missions). It happens every day, and usually in the first or second instance I join. I then restart the console by pressing and holding the power button until it beeps, and shuts itself off. After restarting, it's usually several hours if not the next day that it happens again.

To be more precise, the PS button does not react during the freeze/crash, and music continues to play. Nothing is responsive during this stall.

Apart from perma freezing the lag is still the most important factor of destroying fun.

I bet there are already some (or a lot of) topics around this but please, ccp, this is a serious issue. It is rather hard to test something properly with lag interfering with everything. The only thing we now see, when speaking about balance, is that some classes/ weapons perform better in a laggy environment. I bet once the lag/freeze problem is solves, all testing will go a lot smoother and the real issues will be discovered much faster and will be fixed in the right way.

On a sidenote: Does anyone know if players from EVE will be able to give money to players in DUST 514? or will there only be 'interaction' (when speaking about money) in the market? (or will every item be seeded by npc's 4ever?)

i must say i have had the same issue, the one that occurs the most is right after i die or m trying to spawn in.

Hey everyone, thank you for your feedback on the hard freezes you've been experiencing. We've made a number of fixes in this regard internally which will be reflected in future builds of the beta.

Ive had the same happen to me. For me it seems to be when i join a room of 100 people plus, reguardless if its EU or US. games under 100 people i seem to do fine in. i also have just recently repaired my ps3 due to the yellow light of death, i am not sure if this has anything to do with it since i seem to have been able to play for extended times as long as i stay out of the big rooms.

** added** i also caan play other games like GT5 for extended periods of time so i do not think it is my hardware.

I have had this happen too. It's random some times gun firing, once in truck, once in gun, etc.

I have the freezing problem as well, usually after 5-6 matches. Running an old 'brick' ps3, but it does not appear to be heat issues (not hot to the touch) and it runs other games and netflix just fine for hours. My freeze's usually happen towards the end of matches, right when I think the victory or defeat message is going to appear.

Usually the game lags just a bit before these screens appear, for the freezing the lag just turns into a frozen screen... image remains unchanged, ps3 is unresponsive, im forced to restart it. It does happen consistently.

I have played several matches and have frozen only once so far, plenty of stuttering issues though.
