Hit detection on moving people...
It sucks big balls. I see the shield flash, and nothing. I'm using a TacSnip up close (50m) so no redline snipping here.

If you are unable to move around and shoot at the same time, you might be a sniper.
If you have flashbacks of the one time you ventured out to hack an objective and heard the woosh of nova knives and saw the red spurting of your own blood, you might be a sniper.
If you are so scared of having an even encounter with another player that you tighten your perineum when you think about it, you might be a sniper.
If your entire team despises you and wishes that you would get up off your keister, lend a helping hand, and do some real work you might be a sniper.

Most snipers are close to worthless. They end up killing stragglers that would have died soon anyway, and therefore add no value. However, not all snipers are worthless. The few good ones induce paranoia, change how the enemy moves, and get a substantial amount of kills. If you can sit back and kill 25+, tag the speed scout before he makes it to the objective at the start of the game and keep the opposing team from being able to safely move through open areas, you're doing your job.

There are a few, I stress few maps you can cover objectives from red line sniping. But that's completely negated if you have someone who moves or has the ehp to resist a few shots. I use to be a dedicated sniper till I realized I was zero support to my team on most maps.
They need to add an ability to tag all enemies with the scope like a scanner and give intel kill assists wp for people who kill those targets. The role would switch from a sniper to spotter more or less. |

There's nothing wrong with snipping, you get rid of loose threads that way, as well as annoying nose hairs.

For me, it's the little to nothing that the vast majority of snipers do to with the match.
Want a guaranteed loss? Simply put good uplinks on the high snipling spots (towers on line harvest, for example) and watch your team do nothing to push the points...and the loss that follows.
But, hey, snipers have a good KDR at least!
