The gal scout can damp and run hack mods to compete better in hacking.
The knife bonus is great but again I feel like my suit is gimped with all damps in lows and I have to run Atleast an advanced suit to get the two lows to damp to except able levels but for real competitive dempening I have to run a proto suit that is slow, dies to 5 shoots by a BrAR and can still be scanned...

If you wanted a DAMPENED scout, you chose the wrong race my sneaky friend. CAl and Gal play the damp game a lot better than your min scout or my amarr scout.
The min scout is a Speed HAcker + ASsasin. Not a spy / infiltrator. Scouts ...are just not all the same.
In my opinion:

Min: Speed hacker + Assasin
Gallente: True Scout (locates and informs while being hard to locate)
Caldari: Infiltrator + Battle Scout
Amarr: Flank specialist + Scout Hunter

AND, you cannot have it all:

Min: Best HAcking speed and NK damage. Also , the speediest. // LEAST HP.
Gal: Bes DAmpen in the whole game. Good armor rep // Balanced all around. But not spectacular in anything BUT dampening.
Cal: Best Radar range without having to sacrifice too much EHP plus best innate Shield regen. / In order for full dampen you need to run around in 87 armor XD. //Need to use his EHP slots (high) to increase precision in orde fo its passive radar to work.
Amarr: Monster Scan Precision and Stamina. // Bad speed (min assault is faster than this scout) and rather bulky for scout. IF you want to take full advantage of its precision, you need to run 75 shields.

I guess my problem is with feeling that EWAR>ALL.
I know some guys do great without it but I just seem to always get shot by some random red I didn't see or pick up on tacnet when I go of the knife... Then a couple shoots and I'm dead with no reaction Time due to lag...

The problem you are having is called lack of awareness. You can try putting 2 cx Range amplifiers and get a super awesome scan range that will let you see every med and heavy frame in 50mts+ range...but i would highly recommend just changing your tactics.

Same as while crossing he street, look everywhere before making a move.
Stay close to cover at ALL times.
Dont engage large groups of enemies (3+)
If you see a shade (another scout) try and stay still. wait for him to start looking for you.

Go make a Light Assault MinScout. Don't be afraid to use Reactives and Ferroscales. Equip a BrAr. Draw the attention of enemies and let them chase after you. When they turn a corner expecting a Light Weapon wielding pseudo-assault, OHKO them with your Prof. V NKs.

If Scouts are your problem, remember that you have the stamina regen advantage with sufficient sprinting speed. ALWAYS be on the move! Never stop moving and make sure to do 180s every now and then to see if you're being followed. Being idle or too cautious in your approach will get you killed. You become a sitting duck for all SGers.

Make use of that BrAr. Put those cloaked shotgunners down. Keep out of their range and you'll be fine. You may even be able to take a couple of hits without dying due to your increased eHP.

You don't have to stick to the staple codebreaker, dampener, and kincat fit. You don't even need a cloak. Go against the norms and tank your suit out. You'd be pleasantly surprised by what 300 more eHP can do for the ever so squishy MinScout.

Well, im no Min Scout master...i just have played with all that dust has to offer and choose to share what i've learned.

You chose minja for speed ,but remember speed in this game is NOT a suit, its a Mod. Kinetic Catalizer. And the amount of slots you are willing to sacrifice for them. An assault can run WAY faster than a scout with the correct fit (check my Min assault Fits that runs at 10.4sprt speed with 700 EHP XD)

Yes. Situational awareness is something i can preach about,since i dont have it either.

A Scanned scout is a dead scout from my experience. The minja is so squishy and speed doesn't help when you get a HMG in your face as you round a corner, cause he saw you coming from his shared scans from the gal scout that was with him.

The same gal scout that you couldn't scan cause he has the bonus for dampening but wait, also precision???
He hides and scans??? And has more health then my minja???

My minja is awesome when im not hunted by other scouts. My speed does make up the difference of my low health, but I just can't seem to compete with the other scouts without gimping my fit with all damps in the lows. I could damp better and be as fast with a gal scout.

Min scouts have speed. Not to mention bonus to hacking and nk. You can be that 1 minja holding down a letter solo.

The Min Scout really needs to swap the Knife bonus for dampening. THEN the Min Scout would be as viable as the other Scouts.
