Raul had been off for some time while Godwin and the others chatted with the locals. It took hours before the ships were ready to sail again. Once the ships were ready he sent back two of the Legion to retrieve the Osmar.
The two Legionnaires made their way up to Godwin with a rushed jog of sorts. "Sir, Raul has sent us to alert you and your men that the ships are ready for travel."

(( We are in the middle of the Exploration Age [your favourite Arkena] with four main political entities on a continental drift the Tal-Man Giants, the Osmarii Paleskins, the reptilian Parians, and the massive Blood Raider Cabals.
Meanwhile far from the continental drift the amphibious Skadii from the Sy'thal Isles, the Cat Meta-Humans, and dwarves have emerged onto the international spotlight.
Currently the war between the Tal-Man and Blood Raiders has ended and the leaders of the Continental Powers are gathering in Skadii for a Festival, the first diplomatic event of the new age, to meet with the Murfolk's mysterious leader.
Meanwhile Godwin of the Osmarii and Raul of the Parians are stuck in a foreign land with the Cathay Raht as the first men to ever come across them and their warship the Pahma-Su. At the same time a band of sanctioned Mur Privateers is cutting a bloody swathe up the coastlines of the main drift.
Enough detail for you?))

Godwin accompanied Za'harr and Gungir to the location of the ship. An imposing beast it was, at 300 feet, or 90 metres, it was twice as long as an Osmar galleon, though curiously held less cannon. It then occurred to him that it may serve as a form of cargo ship as well as lineship, whereas the Osmar separated those functions. "She's an impressive ship, what's her name?" "Her name is Pahma-su, she's our one and only cargo cruiser, capable of combat will heavy ordnance, though she is mainly used for hauling large kills and supplies from nearby islands." Za'harr told Godwin as he admired the beauty before speaking again, "The reason we really use her, is for the great hunt which we have every 20 years, would you like to accompany us? we're hunting krion, their spoils are wondrous and last us many years." Za'harr chuckled as he pointed to a portion of skull used as a bath tub. 'Krion' though Godwin. The word sounded familiar, but he could not quite remember where from. An old legend perhaps? Nevertheless, undertaking such a task would delay him too long, he was eager to tell his liege of Kirath. "I'm afraid I must decline your highness. I must endeavour to return to my homeland, and those I believe Raul can assist me with that. Although I can assure you, I will be back." "We will welcome you back when you return my friend" Za'harr smiled as he extended his hand to Godwin as to shake hands. "acta non verba, my friend" Gungir smiled and grabbed a mug of ale "lets have a drink lads! im thirsty!"

In SkadiaGǪGǪ..the Heart of the Nation, Errecist
As the blinding light of the evening sun faded behind a low hanging cloud the scene before the two foreign leaders spread out before them, equal parts majesty and beauty in its most natural form. There ahead of them extending some hundred kilometres into the distant embankments of low lying foot hills was a verdant rolling valley. Presided over by gentle hillscapes on which gnarled thickets of ancient trees coil abundant throngs of crustaceous Phrsam, mammalian life, and flushed songbirds lay concealed, bathing in the dappled light between the over arching boughs.
Hundreds of smaller river ways fed the grand movement that was the Mur River Proper like glistening arterial feeds from hidden mountainous caches. conjuring wondrous images of many layered water falls crashing down upon rocky shores. Where these hidden wonders lay great misty clouds of spray rose up in the air. They gleamed in golden light of the evening as molten silver might under the light of a forge though more so with a transcendental beauty that bespoke the gentle touch of an artist. As if some grand author had seen fit to lavish exquisite detail upon them.
The air was heavy with moisture and within minutes one became acutely aware of the thin opalescent film of water that had formed over their bodies being both refreshing and not altogether unpleasant.
Dominating the valley sections of the valley basin closest to where both Aeschild and Revon traversed the natural barriers of the primal mountain passes was a vast lake of crystal clear lake. Fed by the snaking Mur River that extended into obscurity at the furthest reaches of sight it truly was a magnificent sight. Perfectly flat, flaring, and completely serene. At its centre extending out from the sable shores, suspended by marble piles ground into jutting spires of stone, and supported by Mur crafted floating dockyards and lake districts the city of Errecist rose up in a spiral patternas around a single, lonely, central tower that dominated the city.
At its foundations Errecist was a wondrous feat of Skadii engineering and masonry, circular platforms of neat stone work which comprised augur like structures that had the look of shells, which gently rested upon the surface of the lake inter connected by arching bridges and walk ways. Above these on the raised piles similar platforms carved into the natural stone bore the weight of finer structures though lesser in size in and undecapalet whorl around the central tower which both Sephrena and Adelya both identified as the Coral Tower.
The tower itself was a given and apt name and rose through the centre of the cityGÇÖs skeleton of walkways and platforms as if carved from the very stuff that gave it its namesake. From their distant positions both the Osmarii and the Parian envoys could make out the porous looking surface from which great stalks of corallian lime rose and curved protectively around the upper platforms like leaves. At its zenith the tower itself have been clearly shaped by craft men to bear the tapered edifice of Grand Conch from whose aperture a grand stream of water cascaded down obscuring the lowest levels of the tower in mist. Hitherto the Murguard had stood mute before the spectacle allowing the Osmarii and Paric envoys to appreciate the fields below however now took to action with renewed purpose that gave way to open excitement as Adelya ordered the final canoes to the readied and Sephrena gentle reminded the carriage driver to continue onwards.
As both parties made their way towards the tower it became obvious that a number of much smaller settlements were dotted around the valley itself, modest crofts from which shepherds herded throngs of Phrsam and other indigenous creatures. Alongside these workmen young children could be glimpse as they darted through the long grass waving long sticks with fabrics tied to them pretending to be the captain of their own vessels. Occasionally a secluded cottage could see seen poking through the gnarled thickets, or a thin plume of smoke from the valley foot hills, the only indication that the deeper sections of the woodland had even been settled.
The closer the parties came to the citadel the more apparent it became of the general populations of the Skadii who lived upon the lake. As the River Run and Roadways met dozens of Mur could be seen submerged beneath the lake surface or on the river banks, in mated pairs, bathing the last light of the evening. They moved through the lake with an utter surety and grace, the like they could not match on the land as blurred, as formless shapes their presence fleeting.
Here was the home of the Skadii people. A place so central to their culture that it housed their greatest treasure, the heart of their nation, the seat of their ShuriGÇÖdenGÇÖshalvys.

In Skadia....... In the Company of Aeschild, Errecist
The trip across the lake was surprisingly brief as the Osmarii took to the small canoes admirably allowing the Mur to swim alongside them, easily keeping apace, darting too and fro under the glassy waters with an undisguised joy. Even Adelya seemed in high spirits though she restrained herself and remain beside Aeschild's canoe peaking up from beneath the surface every now and then to ensure all was well.
They docked at one of several wel manned dock that more closely resembled an open air amphitheatre resting upon one of the dozens of lower platforms that Adelya identified the eastern most harbour, known to the locals of the floating platform as Eastwatch, and disembarked with their belongings to a chorus of mirthful cheers.
The Mur crowed around the newly arrived party welcoming them all, bearing their throats for but a moment, before gesturing for the returned warriors and their charges to ascend winding stair cases and rope bridges to the upper platforms. The party was eventually led up onto one of the highest platforms situated some two hundred meters above the lake surface where the white augur like buildings that resembled shells dominated their view like some semi-translucent palace that resonated with the pinkish hue of the evening skies.
Funnelling of a section of the massive down pour from the Coral Tower that dominated the city scape, its Conch-like aperture and delicate aspect were clearly visible to the Queen and her company, the Mur had successfully constructed a gently sloping aqueduct that led into a a series of fountains and pools allowing them to cultivate a bed of riverside wild flowers.
"My Queen...." Adelya said in a matter of fact tone, pressing her way between two awestruck Osmarii guardsmen. " It was remiss of me not to bid you welcome at the docks. However be welcome here Queen of the Osmar people. Here you and your men shall stay until your peers arrive in force. We have prepared rooms that we believe will suit your needs just fine and have laboured to weave moisture resistant fabrics to ensure your sleeping quarters free of dampness. We......"
The Mur warrior was cut short by a the sounding of a grand horn that was so sonorous in timbre to those upon the highest level of the city that it momentarily cast the world into an eerie silence. The Mur on the platform looked taken aback, stunned, some struck mute, all gazing upwards towards the tower from where the source of the commotion had arisen.
"She knows you are here My Queen...... She no doubt longs to see you and your Man-mate in the coming days and announces your arrival to our people. The city is yours my Queen for as long as your should wish it, the valley, the rivers, the lake and the lake bed will be yours, you have only to ask."

(( Arkena come to be because I am clearly the least pleb like in this thread and therefore the least likely to soil his pristine white diner jacket, gloves, and top hat with my mere presence.
All you have to do is create a Nation, establish who they are, what they are, and what level of development they are at and join in the fun. Just RP that crazy ass world power you want to be when you and Cat play Civ 5 and go for gold however remember that this is a fantasy world so you are not constrained by reality over much though trying to keep things within reason is appreciated.
For Example: I control the Murfolk, otherwise known as Skadii, from a series of archipelago Isles south east of the main continental drift. My people are tall, blue skinned, barrel chested amphibious humanoids with fish like characteristics. They swim quickly in water, are sailors and scavenger, though their natural gifts come at a cost and they eschew personal fire arms instead preferring cross bows and heavy bladed axes for skirmishing duties aboard ships.
Also you need to work on a racial break down so we can have a clear idea of your nations core focuses. From there how you RP them is up to you. Militant Nation who declares war on X faction is just as promising as Y faction who prefers to treat behind closed doors.
Example:
Skadii Murfolk
Strength: Textile Development and Sailing
Weakness: Protracted Assaults against entrenched foes
Base Terrain: Temperate Archipelago Islands with rolling plains and rivers.
Strength Terrain: Riverways and Oceans
Weakness Terrain: Deserts and Tundra
Etc
For reference currently existing are
Giant-kin Tal-Man who stand much taller than normal humans and wield heavy armour and larger calibre rifles and Cannon Serpentine Parians and their reptile pets the Kami who are a well equipped nation protected by Assassin-soldier of the Creed Osmarian Humans who are more of less standard humans with a martial and maritime culture and provide a flexible balance. Massive Population Enclaves of the human Blood Raiders in the West who threaten the Tal-Man with violence every so often. Underground Dalmascan culture has been brought back and they seem to be militarised and well equipped to fight on land. The Cat like Cathay Raht from the neighbouring continent are a warrior people and have kept their policies to themselves. The humanoid amphibian Murfolk who traditionally are peaceful but have a maritime culture of piracy and some twisted gods.
I'm about to explore a new continent if you are interested in starting a culture there.))

Lost British Imperialists
Strength: Industry and Ship operation
Weakness: Rebellions
Base Terrain: Islands that are constantly overcast and rainy
Strength Terrain: Oceans x3
Weakness Terrain: Mountains, tundra, thick jungle

I have chosen Oceans three times as a strength terrain. Is it acceptable to have this as a stacking bonus? As in, 'fight me on oceans and **** off because it's a second Trafalgar'?
