Even though DUST 514 is supposed to be a "Team Game" in the Public Matches it is far from that. Each match might divide people up into two teams but if people do not play like a team then it is not a "Team Game"; at best this is a "Squad Game" and a lot of squads don't seem to care about the people who are not in their squad.
I think as an incentive for people to truly play like a team it would be a good idea to give WarPoints to people for doing things beneficial to the people on your team. For example if you see that one of your teammates is getting blasted away by a Shotgun and you react fast enough to get off some shots and end up saving your teammates life it would be good if you received some extra WarPoints for saving your teammate.
Also, WarPoints should be given to those people who are using Active Scanners. My friend broke one out the other day and I didn't notice him getting any points for using it. Now that the Active Scanner benefits the entire team I strongly feel WarPoints should be granted for its use. I don't use the Active Scanner but I sure as hell benefit off of one of my teammates using it. |

the problem with the last thing would the scanner spam, because, as you said, people dont care about the team, just get sp for themselves |

That is true but I am sure there is a way to limit that.
You can place a limit on points granted for using the Active Scanner; something like 5 points per enemy scanned capped at 20 points per enemy for Ambush Matches, 25 point cap for Domination, and 30 point cap for Skirmish. With 16 people on the enemy team this will allow a person using the Active Scanner to get no more than 320 points per Ambush Match, 400 points per Domination Match, and 480 points per Skirmish Match just off of the Active Scanner. |

Giving full points for team scan kill assists would be farmiville, but I think giving like +5 instead of +15 would be pretty reasonable.

Active scans are still considerably worse than they used to be making assists much less likely. The war points gained from them were never that high pre-nerf. Nothing compared to rep tools. |

I know that I've always wanted rewards for doing more scout-ish things as a "scout" suit for one thing.
One thing that I think might help give a buff to teamwork would be to allow people to mark both team and squad channels for Voice chat.

There's a lot less risk invovled with a scanner, so it shoudn't give as many WP as rep tools anyway. Maybe the difference shouldn't be so high, but until I get a rep tool that works through walls, I don't see equivalent WP rewards making sense.

Team "roles" "Medic" -25 wp (revive/rep x amount of team members) "Slayer" - 50 wp (get 20+ kills) "Defender"- 25wp hack and keep an objective for x time "Scanner/tacnet/" 25 wp scan x enemies and kill/get Intel kill "Eyes/sniper" 50 wp snipe/spot x enemies for team "Support" 50 wp place x equipment and let it be used by x team mates "Ghost" 25 wp perform/kill/hack/scan with a scout. "Commando" 50 wp x kills with both weapons on commando.
All awarded ONCE per match.
Minmatar-assault combat rifle, flaylock pistol, tanked, quick. Before you know it..........your dead.......

And while you're at it, add a little extra WP for First Blood and Multi-Kills. This would be nice as pure slayers would be making a few more WP for their hard work. SP is based off WP, so people who don't farm WP and just fight are rewarded less than people that just run along behind someone with a rep tool. Even if you get the most kills you probably won't get as much SP as the guys that didn't fire a single bullet at anyone. I know being a logi isn't always easy, but I think it's fair to say it's easier than being the one at the front doing the shooting. |
