It all depends on what you want to do really, the Gal Scout does everything pretty well which is why it's the most used. Caldari can't speed and damp like the Gal can but the Gal doesn't have shield regen like the Cal and the built in complex range amp is better to have than a standard precision enhancer IMO. With my Cal Scout if I get to cover for just a few seconds I'm back to full health. The Gallente has longer downtime between battles. Cal Scout is best assault scout and Gallente is just the most flexible. If you're not wearing proto, you're doing it wrong.

If fitted good, it does hide under amarr scans (with cloak on) while having codebreaker. Also this fit achive almost 400ehp. Dampened gallente scouts run with little more than 400ehp. The worst (in form of fun/playstyle) : Amarr. He's just slow. Caldari Loyalist Markiplier fan. Got 6815 WP only on wrecking tanks with Ion Cannon.

I typically play mine in Skirmish and all I do is run around the map, stopping every once in a while to hack a lone objective/turret/CRU/depot, drop uplinks, destroy equipment, and knife any unsuspecting targets along the way. I never play with intent to engage anyone, but I know that I'm still helping my team with the things I do. It's a great way to chill, bank on SP due to high WP gains, and still be a factor that ultimately leads to the success of my teams.

A while back a dev said that anything that moves at over 10m/s can be game breaking and I firmly believe that to be true, especially with some of DUST's lag issues. But yes, speed does break the game. It happened before with scouts which is why they received a speed nerf but that was chrome and early uprising; it wasn't until after 1.8 (maybe 1.7?) that the current issue with the Cal Scout began to crop up. I hop down and sputter an SMG while he is distracted - he takes little damage and blueshielding is everywhere. He hides for 4 seconds, then comes around for round 2. I pull off 5 seconds of firing into his face. Again, blue-shielding. He ganks me with his knife. So, like the Calscout, the Minja isn't free of lag 'advantage'. But normally this would be impossible. So the truth is folks, that sometimes it's not the suit. Give the Magsex some love.

The small hitbox + low framerate + constant lag + fast speed of these suits make them ALL broken. Shields in general have some issues against projectile weapons and explosion damage, so the CalScout, with the best shield hp and regen, seems to be the only problem. It's not! Try to fit some kincat on the Amarr scout and people will experience the same issue when they'll try to shoot you^^ Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be. Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

TL:DR go read that. It's infuriating KNOWING this is going on. Even MIn Sentinels take more damage than that from ARs, snipers, yadda yadda. Also a main reason it's not "scout hitbox + scout speed + shields over 250 = godmode" as then the Minja would be even more godmode with 3 shield extenders. Please for the love of god, someone do some legitimate empirical testing on this, it's pissing me off even now, and my PS3's been down for 3 weeks. On Topic: Minja. By far.
