DUST Search - Who else would like to change their in-game name

You see at the time I chose my name I had never played mmos before. I never chatted in other games plus I was really just trying this game out. So, I did what i usually do. i created a female character simply because they are easier on the eyes. I mean, if you are going to be staring at a character do you want to be staring at some muscular dude posing or some hot female? Anyways, since I had the female character I figure I might as well give it a female name. I had the kids help me with that. i wanted something spacy so Luna it was. The kids chose the Mcduffing name which later turn out that they where trolling me. To me it sounded Irish. I envision my character as some perky yet easy to set off (short tempered and feisty) Irish female with fire red hair. My girl told me it was a joke to make my character sound like McDonalds as in the fast food restaurant. HAHAH damn kids. Anyways, I liked the name for a bit until I figure that since I was playing this game a lot I might as well buy a mic. At the beginning it wasn't a problem because I did not belong to any corps but, once I did and everybody started calling me Lune ugh I wasn't happy. Luna go over there! Luna repair me. Lune hack whatever. I cringed every time I heard it.After a year or so of hearing it now I'm use to it and like other said, since my reputation is building up (hopefully a good reputation) then I don't see the need to change it any more. I still do fantasize about other names I would had named my character. Here are some. Most of them are joke names. Grandma - because when you got killed or beat then people will say oh men you got beat by grandma. Blade Rogers - base on a fictional character from the show the kids in the hall. He was a fictional **** star The Butcher's bastard son - great for a heavy character. El Bastardo - the bastard in spanish Galactico - The character from the animation starketeers EMPTY SLOT - I think this one was already taken. There where others but, they are inappropriate names so I wont mention them here.

Part of the charm through this time is you build your reputation in the game on your character name. Your actions and misactions stay with you. This is a vital part to CCP games and the New Eden Galaxy. Creating proper warnings in the character creation process for new players trying out the product makes sense? Warning them that this name is permanent and you cannot change it ever will go a long way to avoiding these problems. People have to make a new PSN account to change their PSN name... There should be no difference ever in DUST. Specially when there are still major mechanic issues that don't even have plans to be addressed for this IP. And you have that whole issue with Killing Nanite injectors from the game, That I warned you and CCP about for a year and a half now? What are revives down by 600% now? Truly sad.

My Brain will hurt for the rest of the day after trying to wrap my mind around the whole PC Players know better and Console players are "Special" argument you have going on. Your Characters name is your reputation in the game. Changing your name changes your history of what you have done in the game. You can't change your PSN name without making a new account, There should be no difference in a CCP game, And people should come to expect this out of a CCP Product.
