Have 450+ HP. Jump away when shotgunned. Rotate while airborne. Backpedal, hipfire, win.
Pro Tip: Never stand still. When standing directly behind a strafing target, a shotgunner has to anticipate position before firing. At point-blank range -- which is where he has to be to do full damage -- a single lateral step can move you off his screen. |

Yep. Usually doesn't take much of a jump either. Many shotgunners won't risk a 0m blast unless you're standing perfectly still or moving in a predictable pattern. Rather, they'll open up between 3m and 5m, where they hit more reliably (albeit for less damage). If you survive the first blast (need 450+ HP), you need only bunnyhop to get out of optimal range for their followup blast. Shotguns do far less damage outside of 5 meters, which buys you lots more time. |

Probably no proper counter people here will state. If they attack from behind, no counter, if they attack from the front you can actually strafe in one direction an outstrafe their turn speed a bit to buy yourself enough time to shoot and kill them. Besides this there is a trick I use. Since of course they will be trying to CQC kill you, they'll constantly run towards you. If you strafe but don't move back to get away it'll force them to turn even more to have to kill you at times, as they'll pass you from moving forward, putting you to their side even more. Used this side strafing trick for CQC in other games, too.
There is literally no sense for team killing to be possible in any gamemode.

I love my MinAssault fit: PLC, Flaylock and double Complex KinCat. I run faster than most scouts and have enough tank to survive a hit if I'm constantly moving. Hear a decloak/survive a blast? Spin about, PLC blast plus a Flaylock round or two will usually see them dead.
The biggest issue is the retardedly brick tanked scouts who are impossible to scan down without incredible sacrifice (read: insane drop in EHP) unless you're also in a scout suit. They'll tank a good bunch of hits and whip out their SMG or otherwise jut finish you off with the Shotgun.

Take away sg from scouts, the number of scouts would be reduced by at least 75%. Most sg scouts are fotm users. Or juat generally bad at fps's. Gal scout with sg equals easy mode. |

Not necessarily, I run a Scout with cloak n shotgun but I usually don't break it out till after my second shotgun to the back. |
