the new charge time on the RR is insane. i feel like anything that takes that long to fire should be shooting .50 caliber rounds.
i feel like damage per shot should be higher to compensate. RR dps just nose dived.
if assault suits get a 3rd bonus, can the cal assault get 10% reduction per level to charge time? |

It will be very interesting to see how the pub data for the RR has changed since the hotfixes/nerfs.
I have a strong feeling both K/S and usage will be down significantly with the latest round of changes.
Then again, I've been of the opinion that Ambush use has been skewing things for this gun. I wonder if there was really a change in usage in this game mode -- but based on what I'm seeing in FW, Skirmish, and even Domination, the usage and effectiveness has taken a nose dive. |

They should leave it up..fora bit weed out all the rr scrubs hone the few who stay loyal into die hard rr users to rival the lr loyalists ..

Maybe we should make things 'better' by breaking the laser and scrambler rifle. That's how dumb your logic is morte.

The Assault skills are fine for RR users..
I for one have removed the RR on the majority of my suits and hunt out anyone in a pub using a RR to kill them CQC. I suggestion you do the same.
Over 60+ Million SP and full proto in all Caldari Suits. No matter how hard CCP tries Dust just won't die on PS3/Xbox.

I just played with it feels pretty good so far. In cqc I did often switch to my side arm not really because the RR is bad in cqc, but the bolt will drop someone right meow.

its not good at long ranges either now since kick sprays your shots all over even in ADS. im constantly having to fire the RR in bursts, to maintain accuracy, but this new delay is killing me. most of my targets simply get away.
they see me from waaay off and they just bounce between cover and walk up to me. no other weapon is this unwieldy in every situation. they might as well add sniper rifle sway to the RR and kill it off for good. |

It's unbelievable, it's like CCP said "no we really don't want you to use this rifle, now here's a breach AR"
All that was needed was an increase in spool time. The increase in hipfire and ads kick has made this weapon a joke.
Now it's majority Breach AR in the kill feed. When they feel that weapon is too popular (or a certain dev stops using it) it will be nerfed and the cycle of nerfbat will continue
It is not a meta game if you just pick a popular weapon and break it so another will flourish |

Not only does it have a charge, not only does it have the lowest DPS of the assault variants, but I also have to pulse it because the kick becomes ridiculously unweildy. The first two parts are woring as intended but we need to get its hipfire kick under control.
Proof that Rattati/CCP do listen to the playerbase.

theres two issues with the RR at range.
1. the scope is too good. you see things that are way outside your range which makes me think im not doing damage.
2. at these ranges (70 to +80m), the kick is enough to make you miss your target. which is why it need almost zero kick in ADS
the laser rifle has no kick (obviously) but its lack of a scope hinders it at range. if the LR had a scope it beat the RR at range |

Well the LR is FAR worse vs armor than the RR and it is the single worst gun at med/close to close range in the game as well as heat buildup. That's how they balanced it.
But if the RR kick is super bad in ADS then yeah I can see it needing a recoil reduction/stability buff for sure.
The sight being too good though? That's interesting! I had never thought about that. |

its kinda hard to. ive always used RR since they came out. its not ven the same gun anymore. it feels so different, and not in a good way.
high kick
low DPS
0.60 charge-up time
these are attribute that dont just make it suck in cqc... they make it suck at everything. especailly since they havent fix the rail weapons glitch
increase optimal range
decrease ADS kick
increase damage per shot
then i can justify the low DPS, crazy hip fire and charge up time. |

I believe they adjusted the kick of the RR when they increased the spool up time. They doubled spool up and halved kick.

Increasing the RRs range will mean the LR gets a range boost also... The LR is supposed to be the longest range "assault" (as in the primary weapons like plasma rifle, combat rifle etc) rifle inin the game. I don't say increase it's range.
Now with this there is one thing that will fix the RR. Cal assault bonus : reducing kick or charge time. |

with the RR nerfs, i think alot of people could get behind that kind of bonus. at the same time though, most of us love the reload bonus.
i thought of making the weapon fitting bonuses more of a "role" bonus separate from the suit bonus. so we could have a third bonus (second suit bonus depending on how you look at it)
we could keep the reload bonus and then add a bonus to reduce charge time.
the kick should be reduced in ADS regardless |
