Then one day they freed me...they abandoned me. I had not been punished in a long time despite disagreeing with them on a variety of topics. I thought I was too worthless for them to spend time one.

But...they then told me that I was a human of strong moral character, fierce determination, and capable empathy. So I was free. And I was alone.

My former owners are now my peers. They raised me into a person both willing and able to contribute positively to society. I can have no hate for the Amarr with what they have given me as a person. Material possessions cannot compare any more than one can compare a rock to a quantum network. We talk, we laugh, we argue, but we do so as humans that are valuable to our fellows around us. Even those who we have not met.

I have a slave of my own now. She is young, stupid, and selfish. She thinks only of herself and not at all of others. She does not value others and she does not even value herself (despite her being unaware of this fact.)

She, like vitually all other people, has the potential to be great. She will be remade. She will surpass me in her greatness.

Heathens who refuse to even entertain the possibility of improvement will be burned. Those that are willing to learn will be taught. Even if they disagree with what they have been taught at the end of the road -- they will have value.

The Empress is kind. Some say that she was hasty in her decision. However, her choice will give other former slaves a chance to see the society people without proper physical, emotional, and psychological support can do. I believe it will encourage them to return to the fold of their own free will to better themselves.

I am a proud member of the Amarr Empire. I will fight for the Amarr Empire. Long live the Empire, long live the Empress!

With that in mind, I decided to hold a contest to see who could come up with better intros. Basically, you need to write a 1-2 paragraph speech introducing your Empire and explaining its interests. --- Now for the rules: - Must be impartial. While speaking from the POV of your faction is fine, things such as "the evil Amarr slavers" are not objective and have the potential to unfairly influence a new player to choose a race. -One entry per Person -Your work must be original. No copying from different players, contestants, or chronicles are allowed. -Only entries on the 4 Main Empires. I am not looking for a small speech on the Pirate Factions, the Jove, or SoE. The prize for writing the "best speech" is 10m ISK, but if it's really great I'll give you 15m ISK. The 1st Matari Commando -HAND
