From my testing, Loyalty Rank can be increased from these specific sources:
Daily Login - 5 points Winning a battle - 3 points Accumulating wp - 1 point for every 1000 wp earned lifetime Using Aurum (not just buying it), 1000 points for every 2000 Aur ($1 US)
Wait, 1k points for every dollar spent? So buying a respec will give me 19k points? yet winning 200 battles with 2k wp will only give me the same amount of loyalty as spending a SINGLE dollar on this game?
That can't be right at all.
To get through the first few ranks is pretty simple. It only costs a few thousand points to get through ranks 1-5, and then it gradually gets steeper until you're looking at about 120k to get to rank 10, and something like 350-400k to get through rank 11
I can only imagine how insane the values must be to get from 14 to 15, but if it keeps increasing at such a crazy amount, we're looking at a few million or even 10-15 million for the final rank. To put that into perspective, that would be $10,000 worth of aur...which makes loyalty rank 15 almost impossible to obtain unless you have a ton of money lying around. I doubt it would be possible to get simply by playing the game. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
The question I have is...is this how loyalty ranks are supposed to be? Is it really intended to have in-game purchases weighted so much that actually playing the game barely gives you anything at all?
Or is there a hidden way to gain Loyalty Rank that I haven't found out about yet?
Because from what this data has shown, Loyalty Rank is just a way to gauge how much money a player has put into this game compared to other players.

Or is there a hidden way to gain Loyalty Rank that I haven't found out about yet? i thought winning a bttle was 5 points? but thats besides the point.. the aur points need removing from the equation... im only rank 2 and get paid F-all where people who spent too much aur and are like rank 13 or 14 get stupid isk and SP.. basically only the Vets and players who spent too much aur cannot see the massive discrepancy between low rankers and high rankers so the high ranks just look down at us low rankers thinking were just whining

People who pay money are paying for your new content, hotfixes, etc. Why shouldn't they receive a reward for the aurum they have spent?
I've spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 on this game and I'm rank 9, btw. I think the highest rank I've met is 12.

Deal with it, minor advantages in change of money support, CCP need to find money, loyalty ranks are one way, people love to read general or stuff like that and spend aur. I would buy some stuff too, if i only had a stable job (or a job at all).
Advantages are not P2W, but i agree on the fact wich is not fair to have a rank system based mainly on aur. There should be 2 parallel rank systems.

Rank 10 here and it's about 300k to go from 10 - 11.
11-12 is like 700k according to cross.
Cross had mentioned it was 500 wp's not 1k.

AUR ranks aren't really of much concern to me anymore.
For a brief moment, I was really really excited, but then it's been a long string of disappointments since then as we found out what it actually was.
I find it disgusting that someone with three times my playtime is half my rank because he hasn't bought some AUR.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I just want to actually feel like I'm progressing through at a rate similar to my sp amount.
For instance, something like a few thousand points if you play enough to cap out during the week. Obviously I don't want level 15 to be obtainable from only a year of playing, but if you were able to get 10-20k loyalty rank per month then it would make it much more enjoyable to keep track of and care about.
Reducing the amount required for higher ranks or introducing other ways to increase your rank would be nice.
If it really is 700k just to get to level 12 you can see just how ridiculous the system is.

Aurum use could've simply acted like a booster for the other loyalty gaining activities. So lets say I spent 100$ on the game and used all the aurum. That alone wouldn't have much of an impact on my loyalty points, but every match I play after that point will give me more loyalty points.
I'm loyalty rank 6 and stopped caring after seeing the points drop by about 10 per match when I have 30k points till the next level.

Hitting select is usually only required for 2 Player games, mainly Contra/Probotector. the original code is just the arrows and B and A. start is just included to actually start the game before the demo ran after title screen (meaning you'd ran out of time to enter the code)

I'd like to see a total of 100 levels of loyalty so you level up more often. You could payout ISK prizes, 1 day boosters, etc for levels that don't add permanent bonuses. Spending 3 years of grinding to go from level 12 to 13 isn't very satisfying...

Agreed w/OP. The Loyalty Rank system is a 'bit too demanding, and the AUR component is a too heavily weighted. I've spent a couple hundred bucks and played a couple thousand hours. I'd like to think the latter would mean as much as the former. |
