Honestly cause you cant edit their loadout (due to obvious OP PG+CPU) and their modules are all at standard lvl what makes it better then a standard suit fitted with complex modules? I honestly cant see a reason to get them. I could just use a regular assault suit and stuff complex modules on it with a standard gun and it would probs be better then those new suits.

It gives them a new suit variation and something to spend their isk and LP's on. Boredom maybe. Exploits potentially. |

It allows you to nearly mitigate the ISK sink aspect of FW. You just have to worry about paying for the ISK cost of the LP gear, which is not much at all.

It's a long term investment. Personally I'd rather just buy the normal LP proto suits because with that much LP you can literally buy 645 LP proto suits, or even a couple hundred that are fully fitted with LP proto modules and weapons.

I'm gonna try to explain you... (what I think)
In public battles, I almost all the time use my Dragonfly Assault (Caldari).... .... fitted like that : http://www.protofits.com/fittings/shared/84/5538 or like that : http://www.protofits.com/fittings/shared/84/8625
The APEX caldassault suit is like that : http://www.protofits.com/fittings/shared/84/9142
To compare my first Dragonfly and the APEX Are the same : - damage mod - nano - shield HP - speed
Dragonfly has better : - shield regen (+7HP/s) - more armor repair (+6HP/s) - better grenades (ADV vs STA) - my favourite weapons (Ok, it's not a very important thing, but...)
APEX has better : - armor HP - scan precision (lol ) - shield regulation (-1.5 sec)
As you see, they are almost balanced, the only BIG difference between both is the price... I pay 15 000 ISK for my Dragonfly, and the APEX is free.
That would become a good fit for FW But That's just a fit for people who play with STA suits. If you always play ADV or PRO, forget thoses suits, they are useless

They aren't some endgame item. More of a utility item that only really useful for 2-3 things.

I have a thought. If you (or someone else) wants an APEX fit, but doesn't wanna buy it by AUR You would have to play FW, wouldn't you ? Sooooooooooooo.... All the battles should play... You would play with suits... hm ? And I think you'ld pay thoses suits ?
So I don't understand... Pay and loose ISK playing FW to buy a fit not to loose ISK in FW any more ? LOL that's a joke hahaha
(I'm not kidding you of course, just I'm trying to say it funny )

Quafe suits are still the best lookers on the market (although they aren't on the market anymore)...

Indeed, I just tried it on protofits.com, if you use a STD suit fitted with better modules, you'll have an overall better suit than their APEX crap, for about 20K ISK all the time.
20K isk is nothing, still makes you have a good profit per battle, and doesn't ask you to grind your ass off to get 100k LP. Ho, and before using it enough to make your APEX worth the price, you'll have to pay 10M ISK to get it + all the money you lost in FW losing suits and earning LP instead of ISK. Better pay a 20k suit, even in a long term investment ^^
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

The LP variant is mainly only avaible for actual FW vets and a ISK sink if you dont use BPO suits. it takes alot of time to get the 100k LP and i highly doubt that a newbie has the patience to play that long to get the suit.

CCP's words, not mine. Though a PRO BPO should be relatively expensive, even for new players. So FW rank determines how much LP you are awarded after each match. New players will have a rank of 0 (or maybe 1 if they dabbled in FW). They will earn LP the slowest. While they earn the LP while they will are losing ISK on dropsuits unless they run nothing but starter fittings... so it becomes a grind for 100,000 LP then 10mil ISK.
Veterans wiped their ass with 10mil ISK and will have higher FW ranks. It will take them less time to earn the 100k LP necessary to purchase an APEX dropsuit.
Lie to my face and tell me this change was for new players.
We are talking hundreds of FW matches for a new player to endure before he can buy a single APEX dropsuit.
Alternatively, they can buy one for $30 on a F2P game they just started playing...
My advice to you, playa...

Aslong as we pretend players die once per match, then it seems like an all BPO suit is a joke. Sure you can squeeze out a cheap 20 k isk suit similarly fit. Loose 4 or 5 you're out half of your battle earnings. Loose an all BPO heavy 10 times you're not loosing anything.
Even the regular BP0 suits require and isk investment for the modules and the weapons.
Running matches at 100% isk reward with zero risk, packing a much bigger punch than the frontline suits. Its not about everybody else having spending isk to fight you. Its about never having to worry about running low on isk again.

The Amarr Assault is a very nice setup if you have your cores maxed + Assault 5 + ScR Prof 5.
It feels about like a well fitted medium suit which is the highest level suit I run anyway. The day the rest of the Amarr ones are released I will only have 2 sets of fittings, the BPOs and a similar set that is full proto using mostly LP for when we are up against proto stompers.
Essentially my play style will stay exactly as is except I will lose zero isk in FW and I will make 100% profit in pubs. |

You can check them all on Proto fits, the minmatar heavy fit looks pretty good. 1225 ehp, Std HMG BPO, std Submachine gun BPO, its going to be a beast
Gallente heavy BPO same weapons but 1312 hp.
As long as you have a good logi buddy, imagine the kills and isk you would make running the gallente suit for free. No needle, just two guys with reptools and you're golden.
