Currently its frustrating to get a blueberry out of your dropship when they spawned on your mCRU. I would really apreciate it if we could get a eject all passangers function from the dropship. Cause usually those guys only want to do 1 thing: hug your side gun or try to steal your dropship when you jump out. Maybe press X to kick all players out? Cause on the vehicle controls X is currently unused.
Bright is the opposite of dark! Who would have thought of that?!

And if they aren't spamming your side turret at everything that moves (or doesn't - because I really want you to shoot that installation blue, that's why I'm wildly swerving you away from it!) they're just sitting there to get vehicle kill assists.
I'd like two buttons: one to eject everyone; one to eject everyone but your gunners.

If both sides can communicate intent, there would a lot less bs going on.
Too easy to abuse in what way? I can (and have on occasion) just jumped out of a fast moving dropship, launching it into the redzone (possibly upside down just incase) to show that bloob who does nothing until you land, at which point they start frantically swapping seats to try and get the pilot seat.
Yes I can launch bloobs into the redzone, but why would I want to do that unless you're not helping the team? If there's a guy doing nothing but that, you'd hope the people would learn, much like the poorly positioned uplinks that wedge you all into a wall, you don't do it twice.
The risk is currently on the pilot who has put up the money and can have their whole match wasted because someone refuses to get out! Put the risk on everyone else and learn which pilots you can and can't trust. |

Salutations, Bright Cloud! And I am figuring that you are new to the forum or to the dropship gameplay. Players have visited and re-viisited the subject before,... it is painful. Yes, players will often hop in your dropship, and STAY---sometimes because it's the first time they ever experienced riding in one, sometimes it's because they have been stomped on so quickly and often in the matches, that they are literally running to get safety in a bus for the rest of the match. This game is shockingly rough on novices.
Not getting out is really not THEIR fault. They honestly don't know what the driver's intentions are---are you planning to take someone TO a fight, carry them AWAY from being shot at, just using the dropship to get to the skyscraper roof and recall your vehicle? The poor players have no way to know. You could use MIC to try advising them during the match, but... MIC use just never caught on in this game (Jeez...,).
So to be a dropship player, you have to develop tactical forethought, and use careful judgement to FILTER who gets a chance to hop in your vehicle, and when. It's NOT easy, but you CAN become very skilled at it. (You can even earn a TON of warpoints by landing down and picking up the "right kind" of mercs, and ferrying them to where THAT kind of player appears to want to go). Once you've figured out a way, it's actually more fun and less frustration.
I think you should give up on the "eject passenger" control... that request has been around for 2 years--I don't think they'll ever give us one. Too CRUEL!! LOL.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

Or the fact that your the pilot but if someone jumps in while your laying spawns for instance , now your the passenger and not the pilot of your own ship and I know that this might be picky and all but if you hop back into your own ship while someone else is in that same ship , you should retain your pilot status because most of the time ... they will crash your ship anyway , same with ground vehicles ... I see people steal someone's HAV just to get it destroyed when before the pilot was doing fine against multiple foes .
How does the vehicle lock work in the first place .?. because I think it only works at the initial spawning of your vehicle and doesn't work afterwards .
Could be wrong about that but it just seems that once I leave my dropship and I don't instantly recall it , anyone can fly off instantaneously .
Thank you Rattati , the DEV crew and the CPM for getting the job of 1.9 done .

I can totally agree with a passenger eject .

You could end up ejecting your team into the redline where you kill up to 6 people for no reason, or end up ejecting them at such an altitude that they can't use the inertia dampeners fast enough and end up taking fall damage which nearly kills you (happens alot with those idiotic rooftop uplinks)
Theres always money in the banana stand.

There's a very easy way of getting rid of unwanted passengers in your dropship. It's 100% effective, takes less than a minute, and involves absolutely no risk to you or your dropship.

1 if such a thing we're to work it must have a distance limit for example cant eject people into redline or yo close to redline Also it would have to auto trigger inertial dampener
Even if u did these there us still this
And ccp would still have to put a factor that dealt with using dropship momentum to hurl players past the redline to there timer deaths

I'm gonna guess at parking on the fiery rings (which unfortunately aren't on every map) but they'll burn the side turret bloob without breaking your shield regen.

It was rhetorical, since I stated how it could be abused after asking...
But that's just it, there are already things that can be abused to kill teammates even without friendly fire, & they don't even give you -50 for doing so. Simple fix for the ejection, anyone getting out of the dropship gives you transport points for everything they do for a short while. During this time if the ejected passenger dies, you lose 50wp, therefore it is in the pilots interest to stick around and keep the ground guys safe.
A few examples where -50wp is needed...
Ramming a jeep with another jeep or a tank (or a dropship if you really think you can survive the hit, lol.)
Ramming a tank with a tank, I've killed a couple of "friendly" tanks this way, it's what you get for mindlessly ramming my jeep... taking out a shield tank you can usually blow up doing this, against a Madruga you usually just aim to flip them upside down, or off the side of a cliff. Be aware when flipped a tank can still fire, an enemy tank flipped me over and stared in amazement at what happened, I turned and fired the last 2 shots to blow them up before getting out an recalling.
Ramming a dropship as we know is the easiest way to down a "friendly" vehicle.
Dumping the dropship in the redzone with passengers inside (hardly a large impact on your wallet when it's a gorgon.)
My point being, these "abuses" are already here and are staying... There's no reason to use it as an argument not to add something useful to the game... The eject button would allow me to be a transporter in PC's rather than just a trololol the enemy with missiles and ****, because I don't use a mic.

If i would want to grief my team i know a way to kill all passangers. Its called "the blueberry toaster". Experienced pilots know what i mean. Those large turbine looking things that have fire on top of them. If i wanted to cause grief i just take my fully loaded dropship, land on top of there and the fire damage kills all passangers except the dropship and the pilot. I dont need to slingshot blueberrys into the redline to kill them.
Bright is the opposite of dark! Who would have thought of that?!
