I love the laser rifle and have used it since beta. I saw it being used by everyone and then thrown out for the newer better guns, then buffed, and buffed again. I have prof 4, ammo 4, and am planing on getting level 5 on those. Im asking that the laser have a slight heat reduction or a skill that reduces the heat. Right now only Amarr assaults can take advantage of the heat damage increase because they can take more heat, but anyone else can't heat up the gun to get without overheating or running out of ammo. So when I'm working on a heavy's armour i have little ammo left and I'm just starting to heat up, so you can't use the laser strategically unless your an amarr assault. If there was a skill for it it could be 3% heat reduction or something so the Amarr assault still has the edge using it but its still viable for other suits.
Also, please reduce the Laser ADS sensitivity its impossible to aim well, and you have to have your ads sense down for all your other guns to.

It wasn't thrown away for the newer guns it was needed because it was open as hell.

Sure, you can do over 1000 more with the assault, but 2500 is nothing to scoff at.

I know it can do damage but how much is actually on target? the ads speed is impossible and its a hard gun to aim anyway.

The scr and laser are weapons in their own right and should be comparatively effective to alternative guns WITHOUT a bl**dy Amarr assault!!!! If I can use a shotgun commando why can't i use my laser tech on a scout without gimping myself!

It was drastically buffed in the invisible stat it has called dmg multiplier is why I told you to stop preheating John ..thanks to that change the ramp up is much faster now

Grit_Breather, Musta Tornius, BigPapasmurf and G_Torq did the math and crunched the numbers I was the lab rat getting shot at to prove them. . But thanks for the shout out dude.

If anything the laser rifle needs inaccuracy, slightly moe effective range and the sensitivity changed to a reasonable level.
I was thinking for it to have an effect where it's very very inaccurate but the longer you hold the trigger the more precise the beam becomes.
A bit reasonable, as with Amarr suits, proto, or other circumstancs the weapon razes teams down.
People that can't achieve greatness without exploitation don't deserve to exist. Enroll in scout erradication today.

have you tried the lasers ads speed? Its way to sensitive so you turn your sensitivity down then you can aim with your other guns Seriously look at my sig ..of course I've tried it ..i just did 3 matches with it it's MY MAIN KILLING TOOL ..I've broken 70 kills with mlt lr ..I've broken 55 flawlessly with standard assault LR ..lol I've been assaulting with lr since it came out i know how sensitive it is

I'm half blind so I have my settings a bit low anyway but..
I don't use right analog to aim I use my strafe for small aiming adjustments my arms for large adjustment
Try it
Set ur lr right over someone's head .cook it and take a step back..bam headshot death touch
You see four people all with rr at 8pm away hopscotch it from one go another as they move behind cover first two will prolly make it to cover safely but the next 3 will die the last so fast it'll be instantaneous I'll check my sensitivity settings sec ..
I run 35 35 ads 40 40 normally
I'm a blind pothead yet I have over 70 lifetime and at least a quarter of that is lr.

It's that simple. The STD/ADV are kinda meh. the proto lasers are death incarnate.

after 2 seconds, the dps is already very powerful and you will be able to kill very fast. after 3-4 seconds a short stream into the head and target usually instantly drops.
the weapon does not really need a buff, it is very powerful at long range. |

Laser is just perfect now. Laser is my main weapon, It requires some skill, and this is great. |

The adv is the best to run consistently like all adv gear
Number one tip to people who are learning to run lr..run mlt with proto assault skills
best training suit is like this
mlt lr 1 comp dmg mod 1 enhanced dmg mod adv suit max skills 2 complex reps 2 enhanced plates
mlt lr has 80 round clip so you over heat at round 0 helps enforce instinctive trigger control will lower the chances of overheating ...builds that instinctive line here us where i overheat ..eye balling a clip us easier than eye balling 4/5 of a clip

It's not a flat 0.8 anymore, it changes with the tier. It's now 0.91 at STD, 1.04 at PRO. I'm not sure what it is at ADV, somewhere in the middle, obviously.
You can do just fine with the lower tiers if you do it right. The Amarr assault bonus makes a bigger difference than going up a level, afaik, though admittedly I've never done the full calculations.
(Morte, you need to get yourself a Templar LR and stop slumming it with that MLT nonsense, btw!)
