An Agent by the name of - Jara Kumora whose job is to provide a link to the new eden marjet for mercs (Presumably the NPC who will buy all our unwanted merc gear from us judging by the description).... But Also.... A services section which has an item called 'Skill Tree reset and refund'..... Also a heading called ' Visual Customisation' so maybe we can splash some paint on our dropsuits Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following. I don't care so neither should you :)

For all we know, it might mean that they are working on a Legion test server to allow people to respec as they wish. Or it might mean that it will come over to DUST for Aurum. Or it might mean that CCP knew that we Mercs are looking for any scrap of information like Sherlock Holmes in regards to the game and Hilmar said "You know that John Wick thing? Well, how about another one to get them digging at the walls." There IS a reason why his name is CCP Hellmar... So who the hell knows? Hopefully the devs. "This is B.S! This is B.S! I paid money! True, but the interesting thing is that it states "mercenary's skills" rather than Capsuleer, which is what EVE pilots have been known as since I think the very beginning. Plus, EVE is much, much, MUUUCCCCHHHH more set in stone as written by Moses/Jesus/Buddha/Allah/Flying Spaghetti Monster about never giving Skill Refunds. The only time I can remember there being a refund was when the learning skills were completely removed and that was because it was about 20% of a newer player's SP and the change was too big to not cause problems without refunding. DUST is more liberal in that regard, being a different game and more casual, about them. I would still be surprised if it means what it might mean. EVE has had small arms and tanks on the market interface for a while now but obviously no way to buy or make them. With the economy never coming, it sits there as a relic of things not meant to be. Again, this is all up in the air and we are probably reading WAAAYYY too much into this. CCP brought back BPO's because people wanted it and bought them. An Aurum SP refund would have people clamoring to throw cash at the screen. There's no critical thinking going on there. True, but if you only have 15mil SP, those 5mil you sank into stupid stuff as a newberry would be far more useful than when you have 40mil. That being said, I'm not quite at my first 10mil, and probably wouldn't respec unless it was relatively cheap to do. Even if I did respec, it would probably be only for losing the dropsuits in exchange for core upgrades, which itself is only about 1mil or so anyways. Maybe lose the vehicle upgrades, I don't use those much either. But I remember clearly being overwhelmed with the plethora of choices combined with crappy descriptions, making it a lot of trial and error. Either way, you're right about the common misperception of a respec being some kind of Holy Grail that will make us all Super Slayers, lol Just my 2 ISK

You earn SP based on the amount of Primary and Secondary Attribute you have based on the skill. For example, Spaceship Command is Perception (primary) and Willpower (second), I think been a few years. So the more Perception and Willpower you have, the faster you finish earning the skill because you get the SP faster. Remap lets you change where your attributes are. This is nice because with a good plan and remap, you can shave off a week or two of training for a long push into something. Yes, there are programs for EVE that let you carefully plan out the most efficient remap so you get skills you want the most the fastest. Remap has nothing to do with SP otherwise. "This is B.S! The actual argument runs more along the lines of "a person with 15M benefits more from a respec than a person with 40M". Which is because you can only ever invest so much SP into a single fitting, and 15M is starting to hit that cap. CCP Rattati ily! This is a really good observation. +1 Even if it turns out that they simply do not like the huge amounts of Gé¼ / -ú / $ that it would bring in, no harm as we would get our SP transfered as a lump sum into Legion regardless. Yes, there are programs for EVE that let you carefully plan out the most efficient remap so you get skills you want the most the fastest. Remap has nothing to do with SP otherwise. Pretty much this. Respecs allow the player to redistribute their Skill Points. Eve's Neural Remap system doesn't. Therefore the two systems are not similar at all. I have been against payed respecs too, since SP should be refunded when stats are changed. Unfortunately CCP does not have the manpower to refund SP when they do changes, and thus, we are not getting refunds. Fix mouse support in Dust 514!
