Some of these might not even be possible, are completely impractical, or what should be way down in the priority list.
What we REALLY need is to re-purpose scout suits for actual scouting and strip the suits of their unnecessary versatility PLUS revert some changes of this sidearm update |

2. have an animation for getting in and out of vehicles that is longer the heavier the suit to solve the heavy LAV problem (suspect this is a client side fix)
3. fix needles so the indicator does not show up unless someone is actually asking for help and make WP rewards tier with needles level |

Versus a DPS increase that increases damage per clip as well as not decreasing the time till the clip is unloaded.

Just to clarify, if they did change the redline that way, YOU would still be here complaining about being shot from the redline, why? Because it's your scapegoat. Your claim is invalidated by the fact of what sniper rifles are. They are weapons that are meant to out-range other options. You are therefore not complaining about the redline, but of being Out-ranged.
If you actually took a sniper to the field (and yes you can play as a field sniper, it is quite viable, difficult in many situations due to obstructions and the map being notably anti-sniper, but it can be used as a play style with a little thought and planning) you can then shoot back in at the people who are just sitting there. The extra damage on the rifles now can cut through most defenses they can plaster together and flop them out to dry on the concrete. They're FREE KILLS, and you are distressed by their availability.
Also, How does fully invincible barrier-glitching snipers sound? Your suggestion would amplify the presence of redline snipers by giving them a PERFECT shield, they just poke their gun barrel out, then fire away while their body is behind the barrier.
If you made it one-way traversing, you would have yourself a "Team Tomb" meaning redlining an enemy team would be easy. First team to the enemy barrier can prevent them from ever leaving, as the trapped team cannot shoot out, and can only exit one at a time into a group of focus fire. There's a good reason you don't see such a thing often in larger scale competition. It doesn't hold up very long unless it's more of a casual feel.

I am actually fine with snipers in the field. I frequently go sniper hunting if the same one takes me out more than once. My problem is when I can't actually hunt them because they are so far back in the redline that I can't get to them without counter sniping. I shouldn't have to spec into sniper rifles to take out a sniper.

Sounds like an actual potential problem. There are solutions to this problem including choosing a different high level solution to the redline sniping problem. I just want the problem fixed. No tactic in the game should have almost no risk to it.

I was around sitting on leadership councils on EVE online when Red Alliance decided to even Use goons as fodder in a war they where quickly loosing to Bob.
I have played EVE since open beta... Goonswarm invented nothing. They have copied ASCN, Copied RA, Copied PL(Like a cheap Chinese knockoff). Nothing from their fleet tactics is not something that was created by others...
And especially Nothing in their terminology was invented by them, rather copied or stolen and re purposed, then claimed to be "Their" word, by 50 different forum warriors as in there is any validity to it. |
