Drop uplinks on roof tops is constant win tactic in domination, AV on roof tops is a constant win tactic. How do you get rid of these av players/drop uplinks on tall buildings Ratatti? Answer used to be dropships but with the double swarm buff and the afterburner nerf who the **** whats to risk all that isk dealing with the rooftop uplinks/AVers. Sooooooooooo bored of this game. Judge has fcuked off to Destiny and I'm thinking about fcuking off to Halo. Ratatti, vejicle players and matches are suffering because of a lot of your ill thought out ideas. Any other vehicle players nearly done with this game?

I've always hated Domination, whoever leads in the early game is almost guaranteed to win. Not sure I've seen a good idea to fix it yet. Definitely open to ideas. Making vehicles OP again isn't really a good solution. Personally, I like the idea of nerfing the crud out of uplinks, but that's because I hate uplinks passionately as a game mechanic. ;) There's just nothing better than uplinks in the game right now.
As a note, Judge is out due to real life stuff, and he does take his commitment to the DUST playerbase quite seriously.

Play skirmish instead man, much more fun. Many more tactics to be utilised. I've always found Domination to be my least favourite gamemode in DUST. You do get some great matches sometimes, but there is only the one main focal point so for me personally it makes things a little dull sometimes.
That being said I think the matchmaking changes have had a mostly good impact on the game.

I mean the one perk to Dom, is you always know where the action is. But there's just so many less options in how to approach your enemy. It really is just head on attacking entrenched defenders. I almost wonder if you need to somehow buff the attacking team that isn't holding the point so that it changes hands more during the match.

Sometimes you got to milita suicide it. Fly a mlt ds up around out their view, land and flux. They start blasting on you hop off or fight to death one on one. The problem is is the bs uplinks that are stuck in the environment.

Swarm Launchers weren't double-buffed.
In fact, other than reduced scaling per tier (which doesn't effect maxed SLs anyways), there has only been a single Swarm Launcher buff since Uprising 1.2.
But since I hate seeing players not having fun, I'll tell you what. When I get online, I'll send you 5m ISK; that should be enough to purchase enough throwaway DSs and HMG suits to last for 2-3 weeks.

The answer use to be orbitals but everyone overlooks that nerf which many of us said would only hurt the guys not already stomping, thanks to the fact we can still get 2-3 orbitals in a dom and others can not even get 1.
To answer your question of how to get rid of them. 1 heavy with flux grenades and an hmg + 1 untouched militia dropship. Just fly to the ceiling and move into position above them then press the circle button and be sure to line up your landing before dampening.

Your numbers are wrong... 9 times out of 10 the 6 people in the dropship will die a fiery death, because roof forger + swarmer = death to anything that flies within range... It's like redzone snipers you gotta be willing to suicide to get rid of them, which sucks. |

Well that escalated quickly lmao!
Feel your pain delboy. I'm one of those rooftop swarmers so I figured I'd ad my two cents. I'm not one of those fotm swarm guys that spec'd in yesterday. I been swarming from day so don't chew my head off when I say these things.
Gotta remember to adjust tactics more than anything with this game bro. Maybe a pilot, though useful, isn't what you need to team up with. Maybe you need, as a tanker, a few ground troops! Preferably ones that know where to find swarmers! Scouts and heavies are in order!
Get in a cheap tank, and take a stroll to see where the swarms start from. Most rookie swarmers, like redline snipers, don't like to move once they've found a safe spot. Get the fastest shield tank you got, and watch the swarms! Head back to the redline, and recall. Get in a cheap dropship with a CRU, radio the hit squad of your location, and wait til you got a few airborne troopers on board! A heavy with a logi in tow, 2 or 3 scouts, or commandos with shotguns and AR's can clear any deck!
Now I know you said you were a solo player, but as you stated this game is harder for solo players. You must understand that the guys swarming you are probably not playing solo at all. Those attacks are coordinated long before you put tracks to road. I would advise having someone watch your back like judge did in the past, but from a different perpective.
Even a cheap dropship with gunners can make those rooftoppers scatter. Plus it's great fun to have the dropship gunners blasting away while the heavy/logi/scout team wreaks havoc on the platform! Plus you get transport points as well as kill assist!

This would prevent a team from being able to camp the objective for a whole match.

Solution would be to not allow uplinks close to the objective and to move the objective to an outdoor, open location. Domination has the potential to be the closest thing to a land war with some semblance of a battle line. Constant attacking and ebb and flow is the pattern a fom match should have. Even make it where the hack itself would be quick and then the emphasis would be on the defending.

I do understand. But I do play solo, and I wont leave my tank. The OP was not just about AV is about the one sided games in general. I see why the blueberrys loose match upon match and it is just the uplinks on the rooftops. If I or another blueberry don't deal with the people on the rooftop they have won the game. There just shouldn't be one tactic to win 90% of domination games.

This would probably require a client side update. An additional concern for this might be ensuring that the point didn't favor one side or the other due to spawn locations. Perhaps always starting on Dom's traditional point A location to ensure a balanced initial run, before moving off to the one's currently used by Skirmish?

I disagree. The current way things are is much better. Gone are the days (generally) when every time you managed to push the enemy back , you would get nuked by an orbital. That alone demoralised players into giving up.
Games are much more fun now with less orbital spam. Just my opinion.
