It was the first time I attempted scamming, and I felt really guilty afterwards. I made a squad in Squad Finder titled 'I'll double your ISK for free!!!', and I got the help of someone (who I paid) to say that I was legit. I did double some small amounts at first to gain the guy's trust, then I left him with 0 ISK when he gave me everything he had - 2.7 million. I felt so bad, partly because the guy was in my local with some other well-respected players, and they called me a scrub. T _ T Yet I still kept the ISK.
Have you ever scammed, and if so. how much? How did you feel the first time you scammed? What do you think of scammers?

I haven't scammed, but I've received generous donations, as well as donating to a few.

Never scammed before, but i have done some naughty stuff on this game to others, was not really phased by it because it's just a video game. If people want to scam let them scam, adds content and tears.

As an interesting side note, "ISK" is also an abbreviation for Iceland's Icelandic Krona, where are friends at Crowd Control Productions operate and are likely, and ironically, salaried with ISK (krona).

But just to give you an idea of how dastardly people can be throughout New Eden, take a look at this.

I've scammed as well in Eve Online. I placed a stupid order on the market one day and then forgot about it. Weeks went by while I was grinding away mining rocks in space when suddenly I got a notification on my wallet. I looked at it and suddenly I was 600 million ISK richer. WTF? Did someone actually fall for it? Apparently yes. Twice.
It came in two parts. Just one round of ammunition was sold for about 300 million ISK. Then just seconds later, by the same buyer, another 300 million ISK for another round of ammunition which brought the total to 600 mil. I was like "are you serious? How do you **** up twice in a row like that?"
Keep in mind that these 2 little rounds of ammunition (I think they were small anti-matter rounds) are worth only about 25 ISK per round in Jita which is the economic hub of New Eden.

Not that I approve of it, if you have an Eve Alt you could blackmail newbie corps by convincing them that they could get into an alliance if they make you a director or temporary CEO, at which time you take their corp shares for latter use. Dust player have no control over corp shares so you can effectively vote people out of power unless they pay you

Yes, Brush Master is cool and run Dust Lottery completely above aboard. He started up the lotto again for a kickstarter project that I'm apart of.
Also for reference, Brush gets 10% of ticket purchases for each lotto as site management fee.

I dont want be a devils advocate, but honestly scrub is that guy who gave all his ISKs to you ;)
Moral level of thing is just something what we invent to put chaos and disorder away.
Honestly if someone give me whole his amount and call me scrub later i will leave ISKs for myself without thinking.
If there should be fair play, it should be gentlemanly on both sides.
End of story about that.
What you will do with ISKs is just on you, its same like if you found wallet on the street with money.
You can ask people around, or you can bring that to nearest police station, or you can take money and brink that to police aswell, or you can take whole wallet and forget some "Hollier than thou" think ;)

I've never scammed but got cool stories about ISK givings.
My buddy played entirely in a Dren BPO C-1 and Dren shotgun for the majority of his time in this game, as such dude was rich with ISK. So last Christmas I logon and I've got an additional 10mil ISK and I see who put it in there. He wasn't online for a few days so I figured maybe he quit playing or something and asked around, I was told nah he didn't quit that's just Santa Kato. Was pretty awesome at the time because I was poor.
Another time I got killed in FW by a squad mate I played with regularly, it was a pretty stupid TK so I bitched him out and so did a few others. After battle he dropped like 8 mil ISK into my account and that shut me up real quick :)

Make an alt and start a corp. Recruit nothing but noobs and make you tax rate 10% or greater. If you're somewhat successful, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the money in the corp account at the end of the month.

I have never scammed, but am of the opinion that "buyer beware". This is such an obvious scam, I'm surprised anyone falls for it. That said, they get what they deserve if they do.
Closest to scamming someone that I've done was an honest mistake. I accidentally listed a Broadsword in Eve for sell at 999,999.999 ISK instead of 199,999,999 ISK. I never saw the mistake, and neither did the buyer... until it was complete. He emailed me; I apologize for my typo but didn't give his money back. He should have seen the error in price.

A 12 year old in my Corp got scammed out of all of his ISK. I immediately thought of Dreis, as that is the consequence of scamming in New Eden; you get the reputation as a scammer.
But it turned out to be someone else, and when I tracked the guy down and asked him about it the ISK had already been spent on a Clone Pack.
My 12 year old Corp member learned a valuable lesson, and accepted that lessen with humility and grace.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.
