Would a similar system show reps needed, again, what is the threshold, armor only without shield reppers

I'd say 25% or less of Primary Weapon Ammo.
Grenades wouldn't really make sense, we only have 2,that icon would be constantly on, lol. Secondary weapon is your backup for all except Commando, so if you're that low you should already be signaling for more ammunition.
Yes to the Armor Repair! You know how many times I cross that stupid logi stream trying to get a rep? Lol - maybe at less than 50% something shows up in the logi HUD? Not sure that we need to clutter the logi boys with so many icons. Maybe we show up with some kind of marker on our suit to indicate low armor instead, a visual when we're in LOS for any rep tool fitted suit. Not sure how difficult that is on your end though. I'd hate to be the guy with 15 icons blocking my screen though... |

if 50%% or less is good, but for total ammo. and 25% or less for armor would be good as well. |

Better yet, why not have a command wheel with with need ammo and need repair and such on it? Tie it to L3 when the weapon wheel is up and have it function exactly like the squad leader wheel does.
Proof that Rattati/CCP do listen to the playerbase.

When a character drops below 30% primary ammo a bullet icon should replace their blue dot on the radar and appear on their health bar.
When said dropsuit is below 50% armor they should have their radar blip replaced by a little helmet. Shields with a shield (where is my shield transporter???)
Making a radial wheel every dingus will flag it every time they reload like idiots.
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

If the L or H slot weapon has less than 25% of its ammo capacity left, then symbol! If you run a sidearm in these slots it'll show up.

You guys need to extend the radius of icons and health bars, at least for logistics players. It it currently capped at 40m, which is actually shorter range than some repair tools on a minmatar logi.
100m would be best as it is the same max range as the minimap/radar
On topic:
Ammo icon should appear at 25% primary ammo, and if possible another icon signaling 0% primary ammo. Rep icon should appear if a player is below 50% armor.

(note that this is gameplay of a medic class and not the spec ops class which is responsible for ammo and is the only class that can see ammo icons)

If automatic, grenades should not count: - Nades run low 'ammo' so easy, main weapon ammo clients would vanish in sea of icons - Could encourage nade spam
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

Also, since this is nanohive related, always felt that hives should assign priorities to ammo requests: primary/secondary ammo first, grenades start restocking once primary/secondary are at 75%. Alternatively, just making grenades restock at a slower rate would accomplish much the same thing.
It really sucks when restocking nanite-hungry grenades leaves a merc with a fraction of the ammo needed to survive the enemy's next push.

How about player initiated calls: R2+L3 call selection.
- Need Ammo - Need Reps
We could even add an Attack order option so non squad leaders can tag snipers and tanks for the attention of their Squad mates.
If it has to wait till legion, well then we will have a lot more buttons available to make the interface.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

- Ammo low indicator when down to 25% ammo for either primary or secondary weapon, or when completely out of grenades.
- Call for Reps when below 50% armor.

If it was done for grenades, it would have to be only when completely out, otherwise my HUD would light up like a damn christmas tree for 90% of the battle. Personally I think it should only be for the primary weapon.
Whatever is in the weapon slot closest to the highs should be the one chosen, to account for dual sidearm fits or commandos.

Sub 40% ammo on primary weapon, aside from commando's which it displays on either. I'd also like to see an option in the equipment wheel, to make a generic 'ammo/health/etc' needed call - so you go into the window and then hit the button and it displays to all teammates.

About UI:
As interface for hud interaction thru Command Wheel already exists, the 'request ammo' could simply be added there. - There's room. Oh yes. Currently all attack/capture/defend could be single icon with absolutely no problem. - That would solve the need to invent logic when the need ammo light would be lit

Or put it where the squad commands are so you can pop it up yourself when you feel you're running out.
Edit- Meh nvm this has already been said... I give it my support... Along with other squad warning commands. |
