Vehicles are supposed to kill vehicles. AV is supposed to kill vehicles. Infantry is supposed to kill infantry.
Vehiles are not supposed to help your team in any way. They are supposed to be for ambush with vehicles only, but we don't have that game mode. So vehicles are not supposed to be in this game.

It has also been verified by CCP that vehicles are end game content (who here remember that?) so their purpose is constantly shifting in this game. Probably why balancing them is so hard. There is no consensus on what they are supposed to do.

my ADS with small blasters has killed 3 tanks and like 5 DS and I only fitted it the other day. but I do have ADS in Gal at 5 and I am using advance small blasters so that maybe why. but keep thinking your safe when you hear what sounds like a A10 firing at you |

Made the suggestion a while ago to make blasters something like 4 rounds per second fire rate, slightly more disperson but adjust their damage accordingly so the DPS remains the same. Basically hitting infantry becomes extremely difficult but if you do, you more or less 1-shot them.
On the flip side, the slower rate of fire does not impact tank vs. tank as much, making the large blasters much more suited to vehicle combat whilst still being able to suppress infantry and present itself as a threat to infantry moving across open ground, especially in groups.

You missed the last part... I also use a small blaster... Proto but with only lvl 3, fact is if you fit armour rep or enough shields or even move fast enough, the small blaster can't kill it... Not on it's own at least. |

The problem with the assumption is that they where never built for anti infantry.
There was an actual turret built for infantry in much smaller scale... Much like a Small Blaster turret structure... Instead of a Large Blaster.
It was all over the Closed Beta's in DUST... They looked freaking amazing and functional...
THOSE turrets where built for anti infantry and infantry suppression on objectives etc... Instead CCP Shanghai tried to general implement a turret structure to fill a gap in content and then never touched them again except to ramp up the Aiming A.i.
Those turret structures where developed and built by CCP to be anti-infantry.
The ones we have now where developed and built to be Anti-Vehicle, (They do to much burst damage to balance them ever against infantry.) |

Large turrets should be anti-infantry. If you're dumb enough to walk in front of one, you deserve to get creamed by it.
You must be one of those guys who likes to run the "chicken cross the road gauntlet". Which means whenever you see a blaster tank you try to run across the center of the road to get to the other side... Instead of waiting or choosing another route.
You want your tank stolen? Put on a small turret. You will never get that guy out of that turret till you die.
We should force infantry to have a co-pilot, so that someone can steal their suit if they equip a gun designed to attack infantry.

Well, simplest answer would be one word: redline. That's what most rail tankers do... sigh. As for what I do, I go out there and kill the reds, be it infantry, LAV, derpship or tank. They die.
This is me in a rail tank, not in the redline against a bunch of competent people and heavy AV fire. See why it is kdr padding? It wont get the highest kill count in a match but it certainly has the highest survival rate because you can keep your distance and pick off the AV players from where you want, instead of having to go to where the AV players want you.
PC is obviously completely different, there you will get coordinated people taking you out and you have more objectives than just killing everything that moves.

Are those tears? The butthurt is thick with this one lol! No one said anything about second turrets, and if you use them you know the risk so get a buddy on comms in it if you run it. I've advocated for the ejecto-seato button in tanks, but until that happens play smart. Anything else you want to cry about?

To be fair there were HAV pilots who said they didn't particularly care about shooting Infantry. Don't let the complaints by a few speak for them all.
