op means over-powered if that were the case they would not be giving us more power!
they are reducing the range because of players like you that can't deal with them. there are players in this game who don't rely on the red line for safety when they snipe. they are the ONLY ones this will affect. you will still get those red line snipers.
or do you think that people who play for safety will suddenly see the error of their ways?
snipers have been so under-powered for so long that they are a joke. this will just make it worse. |

the problem has always been map design.
with everything from small maps through to bowl shaped maps where the only places a sniper would ever go were on the outer edges.

by all means 450m sounds reasonable to me, i would still suggest making absolute range further allowing extra range for counter sniping, post effective range it would take headshots to achieve anything, as in shots that are easy to line up against non moving targets. |

this quote comes from the notes about delta on the features and ideas forum. ps.. please do QQ and whine.. it will just make your tears all that much more sweet knowing i was right all along. They can nerf the range all they want im still gonna redline snipe anyway i can. Doesnt make a lick of difference to me. Besides we all knew CCP hates snipers anyways so they were bound to nerf sniper rifles into oblivion
See told you.. Range does not equal red line. Red line equals red line.
To fix the red line issues requires red line issues to be fixed. You do not fix the red line by reducing range of a weapon.
To leanna I say enjoy yourself, if you're in your red li e you'll probably be safe from me at least cause i'm not about to sort out problems caused by community qq. I.e don't expect me to trek across the map to near the enemy red line with reds all around in order to challenge a sniper that is already in an established position... You nice folk can pick those cherries yourself from now on. |
