The problem with this is that we don't know how this is handled in Dust. Dust players connect to the Tranquility Server via a battle server every time they join a match. Then there is the connection with Sony's PlayStation Network we have to account for. So because of this extra layer of intermediary connections, I'm beginning to question how effective the Tranquility Server is able to police itself among Dust players. Could the OP check his logs on his modem to determine if suffering dropped packets also. Some ISPs enable you to change your line connection options, to enable more robust link connections as do some ADSL modems. I have indeed shot people and not had damage register, shield flash but no damage. If you were counter sniping then there are indeed head glitches as you have been told and terrain clipping issues in the far field. In every case there have been other indicators that I was experiencing lag or a poor connection. Being in AUTZ I already get 350ms approx lag anyway so it doesn't take much for it to get worse. Also in laggy match hit detection is worst on almost all the players, countless time i have emptied clips on people who was hacking installations/cannons, but dealt no damage, that was another kind of bug. This is Dust 514 which is owned by CCP which makes EVE Online. EVE Online has the worst gaming community on the web and in the history of online gaming. I know a few EVE Online players that are not horrible people. Less than the fingers on one hand. So, too bad about your experience with cheaters. CCP doesn't care. They like players griefing other players. They based their business model on it in fact. And so it goes.
