Bringing old vehicles back into the game. You might doesnt work that long for CCP so you maybe dont know about those vehicles but i give you a rundown what was allready in the game but got removed for "rebalance purpose".
HAV's:
-Enfrocers: Caldari: Falchion, Gallente: Vurya (not sure on the name) They where HAV's with less tanking capability but had more firepower and range.
-Marauders: Caldari: Sagaris Gallente: Surya Those tanks had the highest tanking and firepower in the whole game but have beeing removed and replaced with enforcers.
-Black ops tanks: Caldari: Chakram gallente: Kubera These tanks came with a mobile CRU inbuilt and had the highest agility of all tanks but got removed aswell for "rebalancing".
-Logistic dropships: Caldari: Eryx Gallente: prometheus These dropships had a inbuild CRU and a bit better tanking over regular dropships.
-Logistic LAV's: Caldari: Charybdis gallente: Limbus Each came with a inbuild infantry support module which required lock on and could either heal SHIELDS or armor on dropsuits. Additionally they had exceptional tanking and with remote modules they could support tanks.
-Scout LAV's: They where supposed to be quicker then regular LAV's but very fragile which made them unpopular.
Rattati you have such a big chunk of vehicle variety right there infront of your nose. All you need to do is take them, give the vehicles skill bonuses and BAM you created new game content out of thin air. For example rebrand scout LAV's into assault LAV's which have the same skill bonus as dropships. Hell you could go creative cause all those vehicles have no purpose. Or you could bring back logi dropships, strip the guns off but give it quite high tanking options to be a true troop transporter.
They say when you die you see a white light which then forms the line of:
"GAME OVER! PLEASE INSERT COIN"

This is definitely something we are interested in, and the plan was always to bring them back piecemeal, and balanced.
My personal preferences would be some of these playstyles, regardless of the old roles.

I actually recall wanting to one day specialize into the Limbus (LLAV) but then it got removed later on and dashed my hopes. I play as a L5 Logi pilot with my Oneiros in Eve Online when running Incursions.

The Gallente Enforcer tank was the Vayu, the Gallente scout LAV was the Abron, andI think the Caldari scout LAV is the Callisto. I miss my Abron. The only ones I ever really lost were the ones stolen by the blues who took them for joyrides.

we have mobile clone bays, why not an ammo module for infantry?

Especially the Logi DS. I really want to just ferry people around. My only concern is the lack of communication between infantry and the pilot.
The LLAV sounds perfect. as mentioned by others the problem was the thing was always too fast and outpaced the infantry they were trying to support and end up breaking the lock (and having to wait for the interminably long cooldown). My only concern there is the lack of protection for the driver.

I want assault lavs to to have a faster rof or a built in damage mod that's stronger than a standalone module scout lavs to have a built in scanner with either more range or precision logi lav that has a module that basically turns it into a mobile nanohive. It would also be nice to have a turret that heals targets.

Good ideas. I say, If you guys brought back actual LOGISTICS vehicles, that would make me play again tomorrow! I sorely miss being able to repair infantry and other tanks.
Yes murder taxis were too much but if you are considering a speed reduction for increased support and defensive capabilities - at least for the Logi LAV - hell yes I think the community can get behind that :)

I like your ideas Rattati. The only thing that concerns me is your LLAV movement speed. I understand this is to prevent murder taxis with large eHP but with such a slow speed it will be a sitting duck, and left behind if the troops decide to sprint.
It should still be fast enough to act as a transport, so it can ferry infantry to where they (or it) needs to be. Can't provide logistics if your team are dead before you get there.
Maybe slower acceleration, lower top speed (not sure on a fair number here) and handling like a slug. Making it much easier for infantry to get out the way, while being fast enough to change locations. |

Yes,walking speed doesn't sound like a dumb idea at all especially for a LIGHT armor vehicle. Even though LAVs are chosen for speed over tank.
And ya know,unlike HAVs,the driver would be easy fodder for absolutely anyone breathing in their direction.
But who cares? Amirite? It's only logistics,it's not important.
Sure,make the drivers easily killable,you'll see 0 being used unless people are bored.
I was going to spec into LLAVS before they were removed,but if you actually decide to go through with your whimsical idea,i'll avoid them like the plague.
Easily killed suit + insane costs + Easily killed driver + insane costs = Total desire to play as? 0
I do like the LDS idea though.

And lets not forget all the moduels we used to have... ALL OF THEM.
Vehicle play should be complex with very deep customizations, Also we need to reintroduce the 1.6 shield boosters, Or at least fix our current boosters. As it stands right now if we are being hit by AV or turrets or boosters poop on us.

The scout LAVs were the Abron (Gal) and Calisto (?) (Cal) Max speed was the same as other LAVs, but way more torque- blew hills away. The turrets also got a bonus to tracking speed. Thing is, everything else on them was the same as militia LAVs.
The gallente enforcer was called the Vaiyu, or something along the lines, btw.

Btw, the reps on logi LAVs were super ****** (difficult to lock on, super easy to break the lock, super long cooldown), and they just plain weren't there in chromosome.

Besides repairing vehicles, mobile spawns, and scanners, What are we going to do, Become free flying wp? No, We get blueberries or squadmates and we attempt to lay down suppressive fire.

A simple balance for LLAVS..
Give decent tank + regen (Built in reps for armor) + speed.
Then lock all the slots to equipment and ewar mods.
Since the tank + speed + regen are decent (you can survive with them). LLAVS could focus on support,and (literally) be forced to excell at it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
Siege Mode for Enforcers/Marauders.
Khanid Logi and Tanker, sometimes AV Heavy or Sniper.
I believe all these roles are support for front line soldiers.

I have a toon, that was sitting untouched, collecting passive sp for about a year and a half.... Came back and found lifetime and unallocated sp at over14 million.
Made myself a nice tanker out of it. (First time, seeing the game from the viewpoint of a tanker. It's definitely easier than infantry life. Very relaxing. I can see myself tanking a long time.)
Disappointed when I saw my only selection of tanks was the Gunny and Maddy.
I want a Marauder, pl0x.

For the scout DS, Afterburners already cost so little to fitting that the bonus wont do much unless it
