Haven't tried Charlie yet but I'm excited cuz it's one step closer to my dreams....the buff of the Flaylock!
IMO the FL should be super powerful (hello it shoots rockets) but hard to use (as it is already).
So I would suggest a damage buff only....I u buff the radius it eill become another OP easy to use sidearm...so that's my view from using it for so long...and plz push out delta fast (it's suppose to be a Hotfix)....
Enjoy Charlie well you still can mercs...when delta comes...all will fear me!!!!

Okay maybe not but still :( Don't change a thing - it's perfect. I don't know why people can't see how great it is right now, I have it on my AV set and destroy infantry with it, granted, takes 2 clips, but most good fights do. :3

Indeed, there are a few slight and reasonable changes to the flaylock that could be implemented w/o being gamebreaking.
First off, I have no problem getting kills with the flaylock as it is currently.
Fire Rate- Great Blast radius- Where it should be Reload speed- Viable Direct Damage- Have had scouts survive 3 direct volleys to the face, had to reload and finish him with splash..
A slight buff to direct damage, say maybe +30 more damage at proto, I believe would be fine.
Range- there are times where I have such a great shot with the Flaylock at some distance to have the projectile explode within 15m or so of the target.
At least least us be rewarded for timing and calculating long distance targets with the flaylock, seriously would an extra 20m range be too much? It's a rocket for crying out loud, I have built rockets in my backyard that go further than the flaylock

Just as long as they are never the OP weapons they were. I still remember when they were nearly the only weapon in kill feed and you didnt even have to hit people just hit within 5m of them. Was ridiculous getting killed behind cover constantly from splash. |

The flaylock should have its blast radius homogenized like contact grenades were.
All flaylocks need a blast radius of roughly 1.7m.
1m blast radius for standard flaylock is bad. Especially because lag causes the projectile to fire 0.2 seconds after I told it to. It also has no aim assist because it is an explosive weapon.
I would love the flaylock to become an AV sidearm like the nova knifes.
Perhaps 150% damage efficacy. that is roughly 620 damage per clip at 100% dmg efficacy to vehicles. And roughly 1000 dmg per clip at 150% dmg efficacy to vehicles.

Splash damage buff or a flat increase in damage, but a mandatory clip size increase to 4 or 5. I would prefer the splash damage of std. 1.5, adv. 1.75, and proto 2.0.

Also prototype Breach Flaylock need to be introduced. The basic (and only ) breach flaylock is worthless, which also needs a slight direct damage buff

There should be no splash radius increase though...... To easy... The gun should shoot powerful missiles but is hard to use

I think the gun's bonus should be changed, and the splash range should be hard capped at approx. 2m. Also I think the proto should be able to kill a tanked out advanced scout at least. EDIT: Remember, all you have to do is time jumps to avoid flaylock rounds, and this gun is terrible in mountain terrain.

That's about the only change it needs.
It's great in it's versatility. Great at finishing off wounded targets with it's splash damage, and powerful at removing targets if you can land direct shots.
Right now the splash is great, but the direct damage needs a buff. A large one.
I'm talking a progression of 250, 300, 350 along the tiers. With homogenized splash and splash damage.
350 direct means that you deal around 483 direct damage to armor. Land a direct shot and two splashes and that will kill most tanked out suits.
Hitting the direct shots will be vital though. Splash alone shouldn't be enough to kill targets at full health (Assuming med frames, I've killed scouts with flaylocks easily due to lower HP. Possibly only because of my prof III core flaylock though. )

Keep in mind that Flaylock Pistols have less range than the the SCPs, so their DPS should be higher than the SCPs.

Now if only they had started working with the community like this a year ago....

Make it so that the shots do 5,000,000 damage to everything on both teams within a 100m radius, and that it has about a 20m range.

I've never used the flaylock much, but it's what I plan to use with my Min Assault (600K left for L5). I've played with it once or twice. But I've been side tracked by Nova Knives and the SMG is on all my non Minja setups.
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about the possibilities. I hope they consider removing heavy resistance (or toning it down) to explosives.

The Flaylock needs a clear vision for how it is meant to operate. Then that needs to be communicated. Otherwise everyone is going to continually fly off in different directions with how Flaylocks should work.
I have a lot of respect for Classic Logis. New Eden could use more Healers.
