does that also mean that there may also be a way for some more of us to get them too? instead of just the 'chosen ones' from beta tourney
also loving the assault suit changes. bout time the gallente and minmatar got a bit of love cos they were pretty awful

was a prize to the iwnners of a tournament in beta. 16 players got 25 (poss 50) of a full Balac set, suit, AR, SMG and Sniper rifle i believe as well as 1 Angel Cartel LAV BPO

Except that's the only thing we can do. We can't actually kill a competent pilot with swarms, you need to tag team it with 3 people and get it from behind and even then it has a chance of escaping. Who the hell thought missiles should be slower than dropships with 1000x the mass? Anyway, them reducing the missile count to 4 means that you also get knocked around less.
i was in several matches last night against different Python pilots in both OMS and doms and each time the Python went 20+ kills to either 0 or 1, he'd either just fired missiles at the guys swarming/forging and killed 3-4 of them outright with 2-3missiles or would just ab out of range and get repped up. Pythons really didn't need any kind of buff and swarms certainly didn't need any kind of nerf and keepign vehicles in OMS was stupidest decision ever. i just want a small corner of the universe where i'm not gonna have 2 pythons hovering over us spamming missiles down. at least months ago when it was mass driver spam the infantry was easily dealt with

But like I said, I think it has to do specifically with the DPS you can put out with the maxed skills in comparison. And it is for the Assault version only. That thing was a beast to encounter on the field. I have proficiency 5 in scrambler i one shot shields easily but what im saying with the way the game is now were armor is tanked mostly why make it harder for scr users to counter what there gun isn't meant to go through I can understand the dps problem but taking a assault weapon and having it only have 1 clip before it overheats is way to much the overheat went from 15 to 25 thats a sizeable jump I deal with armor fine because I play smartly but for others who don't have amarr assault and prof 5 is a kick in the balls becuase I run dcr on my amarr scout also so im going feel the full effect of that overheat there forcing ppl to go into the assault role becuase if I go up against a gal scout with any other rifle he has a advantage just by not having to worry about heat plus hes going to know his enemy can only use 1 clip or constantly Reload And stop Firing for assault gun which is meant for firefights it should be able to keep up with the other rifles and when i last saw they weren't overly used or broken it served its purpose
in all honesty ScR and AScR do far too much damage to armor than what they should do. i've chewed gallente heavies down just as easily as caldari with my Carthum

again last night several python pilots in OMS 11-0, 9-0, 13-1, 18-2 this was with AV being used to try take them down. so really why do they need a buff? all they do is take a hit and run like sissy's to recharge while the other one circles round and the recharge time on forge is far too much. i know two extremely talented Forgegunners who use the ishukone assault forge and both them were on the pythons and soon as they took a hit they whizzed off to recharge. flew back and 2 missiles took out both the forges and the logi (myself) before they even had a second shot off.
personally my theeory is CCP deliberatly p**sing people off they they quit and they can shut server down on 'good' terms with the remaining playerbase. brought the theory up late last year and lo n behold legion gets announced at this years fanfest. lets face it Oceana server went last month due to 'abuse' i just think it was so unused it was better to just scrap it and save bit cash

Special events or can we get Balac's Modified Assault ck.0 in salvage? I know some lucky ducks say they already have these but would like to see these some how ending up in my inventory.
originally they were a tournament prize in closed beta. i think the guys who won the tournament each got 25 balac sets (suit, AR, SMG and sniper) as well as an Angel Cartel Black Ops LAV BPO i think the changes to the balac suit are to probs try and convince peopel to actually start using them as most just left them in hangars hopign to make a lot of isk when the forever hoped for market cam einto play.
would be nice to have an event though for the rest of us to get our grubby lil mitts on some. perhaps one similar to the scout event where if you got 10kills you got a quafe scout suit. make it so every 10 kills using Balacs GAR-21 you earn a Balacs modified Ck.0 at the end of the event?

in all honesty its not the damage thats really the issue. the main thing is that SL got a huge nerf with both reduced damage and range. the missiles themselves don't really fly quickly or for very long either which allows a DS/ADS just just hit throttle and fly straight up and be out of lock range before the SL gets another lock. i would rather the SL operation skill be an extra 25m lock range per level than reduced lock time or even a combo of both, reduce lock time from 5% per level to 3% and add 25m lock range per level too and increase fligh time of swarms by 50% just so they actually have a chance of catching a target.
