heat sink (high slot): reduce heat buildup by use of heat dissipating coolants 10 / 15 / 20
optics (high or low slot you tell me): increase weapon zoom with aid of microtelascopics 20 / 30 / 40
clip size(high slot): increase magazine capacity 5 / 15 / 25
fire rate (high slot): reduce delay between shots fired and increase RPM by accelerating internal processes 3 / 5 / 7
dispersion (low slot): provides a tighter grouping of weapons fire by improving rifling 5 / 10 / 15
kick: (low slot) reduces weapon kick using a force dispersion pad 10 / 20 / 30
safety guard (low slot): reduces blow back damage and seize time with heat redirection mechanism 20 / 30 / 45
auto loader (high maybe low slot): aids in the reload of weapons via small nanites dispensing lubricant along loading compartment 15 / 20 / 25
note all weapons and upgrades would have a soft cap for stats as well as a severe stacking penalty
assault suits would get fitting bonus
expand handheld weapons tree to have a branch pertaining to each module

Too many and ROF is could get real OP real fast.
I propose a similar addition of modules but reduced to 4 racial variants (3 more high slot modules in addition to the currently existing Damage Modifier)
Gallente Weapon Module: H/L/S Damage Modifier Amarr Weapon Module: H/L/S Heat Sink Minmatar Weapon Module: H/L/S Added Magazine/Clip Caldari Weapon Module: H/L/S Rapid Reload or Zoom Increase
This would make for some interesting Assault suit builds

Minmatar are supposedly proficient in projectile/kinetic weaponry, wouldn't dispersion redux be a viable option?

Its been thought of before. Multiple times.
Kage and I have been particularly adamant about it.
My best match on Dust, 23/6/4 Placon.

I dont agree with this. Too much customisation on any suit. One of tthe reasons you would choose a suit is for its innate bonus. This just renders all those bonuses nullified. You would be facing HP heavy suits with these modules and the weapon to go with the module. Too much COD whilst the dust servers are down OP?

my solution is more posts a larger thread is more likely to get attention i would say at least three pages in short make this page impossible for a dev to ignore so get all of your freinds to post at least once also if i can get my entire corp to make comments on this topic it will be cake

ROF is very similar to a straight up damage increase, which we have now, but with the drawback of consuming more ammo (and the positive improved CQC since higher ROF is better in those situations than straight up damage).
I'd say it's a pretty fair trade off.

Now, while we're at it, let's ditermine what slot these will go into. Personally, these are technically mods, so I propose allocating them to the high slot, or equipment. In the equipment slots, players are going to have choose carefully in order to balance the modifications with whaterver else they may want (Scouts and logistics players). This would give a better purpose for medium build Assault class players whom only have one equipment slot. In the high slot, they would need to cost more CPU and PG to counteract snipers and scouts collectively stacking these already conveinient mods. Thoughts?

like I said fitting bonus and soft caps make assault the only practical user of said mods like how scouts have cloaks assault suits gain insane weapon costimizability and have a jacked up light weapon over the commandos two bland light weapons

I see, but you forget about those players who don't care about practicality. They'll use the mods how ever they wish.

and for that they will suffer fitting penalties and sacrifice tank-ability the weapon mods should be made less practical to fit but not impractical on non assault suits

why is it so bad that they have the freedom of choice would you perhaps believe assualts should have an altogether uniqe slot that allows only them to fit wepon upgrades it would be like only logis having tool slots or scouts having a cloak slot rather than going into a tool slot
and those who use mods however they wish would have the option eliminated but on the same token the concept and philosophy of fitting in dust would be compromised
instead of the you can fit whatever you want however you want however you want so long as it is within the capabilities of your suit
it would be you can only fit certain things a certain way because this is what I (the dev or sugester of ideas) think this is best for you
besides the unorthodox can easily be oddly effective I mean look at the PLC if you cant hack it don't even try
the option should remain open no mater how impractical it may be

1.) I don't remember saying this, nor did what I said even imply the notion, so don't stick alternative meanings on my words. 2.) My question was simple, but since you seem to overanalyze player comments, I'll type it plain. "How do you intend to make the assault class the most reasonable choice for the weapon modifications?" Since they would probably be regarded in the same manner as the weapon damage modification, were they implemented.

I see your point perhaps insane fitting requirements that only assault suits are exempt from or get a fitting bonus for, just like cloaks, possible but impractical

How about adding some 'odd' debuffs tothe mods, such as movement speed penalties, since they would technically be a attachment to the weapon, it would add to the total weight you are hauling. This would make it distastful to run on other loadouts. Ex. Heavies are slow enough, if they were to get even slower due to a mod, even slightly, some players would chose to refrain from the mods. A huge part of the scout's build is his speed, if he has to give a bit of it in order to gain improvements on his weapons? And logis? If they want to give up on supportive mods to increase the capabilities of their personal weapon, let 'em. They'll be slower and easier for me to snipe. Of course, to any assault worth his ISK, a little change in weight in exchange for the improvement of his weapon won't mind the change, especially since you'd have found how wonderous Ferroscale can be. Thoughts?

even if dust does not see this (since I don't expect a 1.9) I would hope legion might (only if legion is on console otherwise f** legion) Modules relating to targeting traditionally go in Medium Slots which in Dust 514 are high slots.
Damage modules and would fit into the lows as well as modules that alter fundamental weapons functions while the rest can fit in the highs.
Kick, Dispersion, and Optics are high slots.
Auto Loader, Fire rate, Safety Guard, Clip Size, and any other function altering modules are all lows.

Not a fan of all on the list but the idea is awesome and should be looked at immediately.
but
Can you image them trying to balance with all of these things in play?
