This is the part where someone is supposed to say, *Ahem*, "F**K**G GENIUS!!!!"
So I thought I'd go ahead and ask where the hell this suggestion has been for the last TWO frecking years!?!?

Minmatar are supposedly proficient in projectile/kinetic weaponry, wouldn't dispersion redux be a viable option?

Now, while we're at it, let's ditermine what slot these will go into. Personally, these are technically mods, so I propose allocating them to the high slot, or equipment. In the equipment slots, players are going to have choose carefully in order to balance the modifications with whaterver else they may want (Scouts and logistics players). This would give a better purpose for medium build Assault class players whom only have one equipment slot. In the high slot, they would need to cost more CPU and PG to counteract snipers and scouts collectively stacking these already conveinient mods. Thoughts?

I see, but you forget about those players who don't care about practicality. They'll use the mods how ever they wish.

why is it so bad that they have the freedom of choice would you perhaps believe assualts should have an altogether uniqe slot that allows only them to fit wepon upgrades it would be like only logis having tool slots or scouts having a cloak slot rather than going into a tool slot
and those who use mods however they wish would have the option eliminated but on the same token the concept and philosophy of fitting in dust would be compromised
instead of the you can fit whatever you want however want so long as it is within the capabilities of your suit
it would be you can only fit certain things a certain way because this is what I (the dev or sugester of ideas) think this is best for you
besides the unorthodox can easily be oddly effective I mean look at the PLC if you cant hack it don't even try
the option should remain open no mater how impractical it may be [/quote]
1.) I don't remember saying this, nor did what I said even imply the notion, so don't stick alternative meanings on my words. 2.) My question was simple, but since you seem to overanalyze player comments, I'll type it plain. "How do you intend to make the assault class the most reasonable choice for the weapon modifications?" Since they would probably be regarded in the same manner as the weapon damage modification, were they implemented.

How about adding some 'odd' debuffs tothe mods, such as movement speed penalties, since they would technically be a attachment to the weapon, it would add to the total weight you are hauling. This would make it distastful to run on other loadouts. Ex. Heavies are slow enough, if they were to get even slower due to a mod, even slightly, some players would chose to refrain from the mods. A huge part of the scout's build is his speed, if he has to give a bit of it in order to gain improvements on his weapons? And logis? If they want to give up on supportive mods to increase the capabilities of their personal weapon, let 'em. They'll be slower and easier for me to snipe. Of course, to any assault worth his ISK, a little change in weight in exchange for the improvement of his weapon won't mind the change, especially since you'd have found how wonderous Ferroscale can be. Thoughts?
