CCP already has a time set to pull the plug. is dust really on life support? i never have problems finding battles, for our population to grow we need more content, not the removal of it, sice launch this game has has only got marginal content updates. we are still missing several weapons, vehicles, maps and modes, and ccps excuse is its to hard to continue, and that attitude is whats killing the game. we need devs that want dust to succeed and are enthusiastic about the content creation for it. we should be getting a new map every 2 months each built with a focus on either pvp or pve, and in some cases a focus on both. dust can still make its mark, it can still make ccp hundreds of millions if they just regain their 'laser focus' and resume work on dust. |

Short Answer, yes it's on life support.
CCP stripped down it's crew (while hiding it from the community) when it hit uprising. They had most of the work going towards working on legion while pretending they were planning to keep improving Dust. Everything since Uprising made a lot of sense as to how development was so slow, but the fact that they hid it from their fans is what really drove away a lot of players after fanfest. I can understand it as if I had spent money on this game I would of been pissed off like the rest of them. But I never did, so I'm just riding this crater out until it's final conclusion. I was lucky though as I almost dropped money on this but decided to wait until fan fest and boy was I happy I waited. |

im willingtolook past the betrayal and lies if they just resume development on dust, now that dosnt mean im not angry now, but i will forgive them if they just resume development on dust, and dosnt mean work on legion has to stop either, legion can just as easiy become an expansion for dust as it can a seperate game, except that less peope will be forsake ccp and will continue on where they leave off weather it be on a ps4 or a pc. |

They have already stated in the last fanfest keynote that Dust will not be receiving PvE. Period. No more discussion to be had.
Your best bet is to visit the Legion general discussion and become part of the dialogue regarding PvE there. Oh, and try to generate some hype surrounding getting Legion green lit. Twitter is a good place to start, but if not there, then Facebook or some other social media.

Since dust doesn't have pve then why the **** do they have the drone models like wtf. They didn't even gave a reason why it was removed. Very little footage from the Trailer and a few pictures.

The PS3 is nice but as a console it does have issues, RAM comes immediately to mind. Switching to the PC lets them operate on their own terms instead of being tied down with the constraints of Sony's hardware and PSN's protocols. |

yeah it is getting off topic, i honestly do not understand the reaoning behind people sauing pve cannont be done in dust because a precived lack of prefromance with the ps3. Dust was never sold as a beta for legion, i was soldas a game that would have 10 years od continuing development and possibly longer, people who bought merc packs , veteran packs, and elitepack bought that promise not the promise of a competely new game being developed on a system they arnt already playing on. Pve in dust is possible and ps3 performance is not a problem, Ccps executive producer for dust is a horrible excuse for a producer and lacks the true focus and fortitude to even begin to work on a game that has the creative vision and interstellar scope dust is suppose have, just look how quickly he gave up and cancled development when he took the project over.
Ccp nees to regain their laser focus on dust and ps3 and start churning out more more maps, surface infrastructure modles, vehicle modules, vehicle turrets and racial weapons. we also needa total redesign of district mechanics and how players interact with them also. |

hardly. if in you analogy dust is a burning building, how can a call for new content and redesign of certian lacking under-emphasised features be like yelling to change the paint?
if anything my calls for new content and a reurn to true development are like the water this burning building of a game needs to begin the great reconstruction of that sad building after the fire is put out. however your analogy does apply to theese so called mostly unnecessary 'hotfixes' which are the paint of your building. |

The trouble with you requesting water for the burning building is that the owner has already began construction on a newer, better building just a few blocks away. They are going to let this building burn down... it was an eyesore anyway.

I was like you once. I had tremendous hope in Dust 514. I've recruited several people into playing Dust (all of whom have bought AUR, by the way). I championed the idea that Dust has a huge amount of potential; I pointed people towards Eve Online and said, "Look what CCP can do!" But realistically, the concept of Dust 514 has promise, but Dust 514 on the PS3 is not going to prosper long-term.
CCP Rouge made a tough business decision. He took (and is still taking) a lot of heat for doing this, but here are just a few of the reasons why letting Dust 514 die and developing Legion is a good idea:
- CCP can take what it has learned from Dust 514 and apply it to a game starting in alpha testing. Many developers would KILL for the chance to alpha and beta test for as long as Dust 514 has been active. This know-how can be used to ensure Legion launches with more polish and better balancing.
- The PC platform allows for more agile development cycles and reaches a larger audience. CCP has been developing Eve Online for over a decade on PC so this will give them a "home field advantage".
- Having Dust 514 on a console adds a middle man to the mix: Sony. While some think that Sony has been kind to CCP for the duration of this game's life, they are just one more person between CCP and their players. When developing for the PC you answer to (almost) no one.
I'll also just say again, CCP Rouge has said in his keynote speech that PvE is not coming to Dust 514. Ever. Period. We could all stop signing on tomorrow and his decision would not change. The Q&A session after the Dust: Progression presentation (fanfest 2014) doubly confirms that PvE will never come to Dust 514. We are not getting PvE. Stamping your feet and holding your breath will not change their minds.

To hell with that, if Dust is a burning building, I need a folding chair some roasting sticks and a bag of marshmellows. I am eager to see how ccp handles this.
