People complaining over cloaked scouts.
I've been squadding up with a lot of different randoms during the last month, and one thing that I've grown tired of are people complaining over comms about cloaked Scouts.
On many occasions, the squad I would be in would be holding an objective. Within the squad, there would be somewhere around three tanked Heavies with Logi support. So, a lone Scout with an SG would attempt to infiltrate the objective. He'd sometimes get a kill but most times he wouldn't. Several other Scouts would attempt to do the same, but would all be shot down.
Now, if one member of the squad gets SGed or REed, that person would start to rant and then the others would chime in and bash the dead Scout for being a scrub and then further complain about the OPness of cloaked scouts. So, I'm standing there thinking, "Really?"
There are several Heavies in one small room defending an objective effectively melting anyone that attempts to come at them, and they're complaining about OP Scouts?
I don't get it. |

Cloaked scouts are easy to spot... No really they are, I just had an eye test yesterday, I have like 30/40 vision or something(Idk if thats good or bad) and I got home played some dust, cloaked scout tries to come to a friendly bam shot him still cloaked and his corpses lay on the floor. Just look for a either a blue glob running around the battlefield, or distortions in the battlefields, heck I can even see them when I'm sniping. |

Well I guess that just proves my point even more, I have badish eyes and can still see them, so why can't other people? |

And I get signed on to be a model?and then I get signed to be an actor? and then I get invited to alot of hollywood parties? and then one thing leads to another and I overdose on the toilet in my grandma's house? All because my glasses were in style.... I got some big decision to make.... |

It is a bit a silly complaining about the cloaked scouts. Scouts were more terrifying in KillZone 2 then they are here in Dust. At least Dust scouts camo isn't nearly invisible as KZ scouts.

I would agree but there is an exception, when your playing on a low resolution TV its very hard and sometimes impossible to see them. I know because my TV is low res. |

20/20 vision is perfect, at 20 yards you can see what most people see at 20 yards.
30/40 is short sighted, at 30 yards you can only see what most people would see at 40.
However you are looking at a flat screen your target is no further away, even if he is further away in game.
Furthermore different people can struggle while others do not.
I for example am dispraxic (my brain isn't wired up properly), so when there is only a scout infront of me, I can identify amd track him, even while cloaked with ease.
Yet I struggle as soon as their as is more than 1 moving object on my screen at a time, my brain struggles to keep track of where one target should be as I attempt to track another.
Furthermore, it is a cloak, it is designed to make you hard to see.
If the devs hadn't decided that it didn't make you hard enough to see to your average joe, why would they have released a d marketed it as a cloak and not somehing else like active camouflage.
Tldr: It's called a cloak for a reason, if you have no trouble getting cloaked characters, consider it blessing to yourself, not a reason to tell others to get good.

The people who don't spot scouts now, will never spot scouts. They complain because there is nothing they can do vs them.

You may be right, but you also need to demonstrate evidence that there WERE cloaked scouts he missed. Otherwise, you are simply stating an opposite fallacy.
Edit: Not to mention that there were some uncloaked heavies he probably didn't see either. If you think not, google "Invisible Gorilla"

But seriously. There's really only one scout that can run a cloak now and that's the gal scout. I often forget cloaks exist because outside of gal scouts nobody runs them.
