What 500k is not expensive enough?
Im fine with that if they bring back the the enforcers, give the vehicles a buff, and bring back the normal dot for blaster turrets.
Stop the useless hate, I run on the ground as well as tanking, have my proto AV etc
I see so many anti tankers threads, but hardly any regarding ADS, sad sad people
If its not anime, its not real

But they still cost more than a madrugar with two reppers, hardener and neutron blaster... Your point ?! |

ADS .... Omg... I dont mind if they retreat to Red line quickly to heal themselves, but that Ceiling on the MAP ridiculously high.... It's almost 3-4 times the range of any AV weapon... I wish i could go underground with my scout suit to quickly regem my health when i'm under fire and come back again few seconds later lol |

Hi Atiim, and THREE CHEERS to your thinking. (But, of course just raising the cost of the big vehicles in the game, by itself will only cause trouble--it needs to be done in careful conjunction with a couple of other components, to serve as a control/buffer against rocking the galactic boat). But your mindset is correct!
The game WAS about making the player feel "stuck" between two decisions as he/she enters each match: "Do I RISK my cherry-sweet powerhouse suit/Lav/HAV right now because I see a wide open opportunity in this particular match to devestate the reds"?-----or "Do I keep my honey in the garage this time because it's too VALUABLE to endanger unless I see a sweet and tempting reward"? That RISK-for-REWARD equation seems to be what EVE Online raves about, and they spend days and weeks after a noteworthy battle, just trying to tally how much material was destroyed and how much ISK lost. It's a 'VALUE' thing.
I remember playing this game around its May release date, and that "value" in ISK was nice and high. Owners compained constantly about having their pricy HAV roasted, and pricy Dropships turned into PopTarts within the first 30 seconds of gameplay (....cuz we learned the hardway not to do practice-driving where you could get shot at...duh, LOL). But THAT WAS GOOD, to me! --It curbed the shear number of vehicle players who populated the map.... --It reduced the reflex tendency to quickly replace your precious vehicle the moment it got destroyed... --It raised the calibre of vehicle players who lingered on the map (only the skilled ones felt confident that they could strafe the map through the entire session without getting destroyed). --And it made vehicle-players like myself a real gut-wrenching thrill to the decision to use my vehicle.
Knowing my 3 mill ISK toy could be lost in 3 seconds if I get careless... and knowing that there were AVers out there who were ready to drop their pants to score a successful kill off of my DS... gave me GREAT high blood pressure!!
I miss that High-vehicle-cost nervousness we used to have. These days, I can trick out my DS for cheap, and not feel any pain if I lose it.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

As someone who has done alot of AVing, let me say the most rewarding AV (besides prox mines), is the missile fitted hit and run tank.
Sure its fun to forge gun tanks into submission, and to suicide LAV them, and ambush them with mines. But there is nothing quite like rolling up behind a Ion Cannon triple rep Maddy with a missile fitted Soma, waiting for the right moment, and then unloading a slice of armageddon into its flank.
You can almost sense the desperation as it vainly tries to flee the onslaught, only to become a scorched hull moments later, with this dreams and ISK consumed by the flames. |

Tanks are nowhere near worth the exorbant prices they were going for. I feel sick pulling out my 550k setup because I know the chance that it will be jlav'd into oblivion is extremely high. I don't even mind the place tanks are in. I can even deal with the rotund reticle (easier to spot scouts with). But as long as my fittings are so restricted and jlav's are a thing tank prices need to remain somewhat forgiving. |

Hey, you want to take out a 500k isk tank? You better pay for it. lol sometimes the 3 dropsuit you use to destroy a soma worth much more.3 adv commando with a wirkomy swarm cost me 70k and a soma is like what 100k? Ok listen. To destroy soma you need 1guy with forge (cost 30-40k DAU FG) To destroy proto fited madrugar you need 1 guy with IAFG (prof 3, 2-3dmg mods) that costs 70k!!.. So 500k tank pooped by 70k heavy (because heavy have fked up cpu pg that can eqiup proto, compx on adv). Next time dont post stupid stuff like this.
Hmm you better not be a financial advisor or something along those lines.. Wow
