Charlotte O'Dell Sooper Speshul Ponee Fors 2480	Posted - 2014.06.25 19:04:00 - [1] - Quote (Typed on phone) One thing that is far from necessary, but would make the Market experience more immersive and personL, would be the ability for players and corporations to create advertisements for themselves, in addition to a logo, which we already have. When a player clicks on the name of a corporation, he is brought to their page, which would be akin to their Facebook page, and their prof pic would be the add (an image freely designed by the player or corp) and the banner would be their logo. The page would show their stock value, their standing through the four factions and with other corporations. It could show bounties and work orders that need to be filled, as well an a recruit application section. Players would have a similar page should they choose to do so, forsaking the logo, however. The add could be available in places where the individual or corp has paid those who own the space, and even so far as to decorate their gear with logos so that advertising becomes as competitive as anything and bigger companies can advertise more than smaller ones. Another fun note would be artists at CCP designing adds for each piece of gear available on the market. 30-60 second videos made by their manufacturer (six kin, kaalakiota, etc). Each company would have a different style and should outline what the weapon does well, its features and class, but not its drawbacks (yay capitalism). I do enjoy roleplaying. :) I would love to see ads and pages for corporations in new eden becoming organic to the server rather than not. Having a contest to see who makes the best ads for gear would be fun, among players and forum goers. Charlotte O'Dell is the highest level unicorn!

When I think of how I would handle Merc work in the case of Dust/Legion is a "solo" merc who is usually hired by by a few corps who he usually works with and is used to working with (without really belonging to a corp themselves). I'd probably be a "C-list" ringer. High end corps wouldn't hire me for sure, and Medium-grade corps may or may not see me worthy of hire. Anyway, I really like the idea of Ads for both corps and individual mercs.
