We can do it, but there are many things I would like to tweak/fix before we bother the playerbase with a full client re-download.
If the content gets created, by either the DUST 514 or Legion team, we can push it out.
OK, so essentially there's hope.
Really, what we, as a player base, really need is: - Player Market - Racial Vehicles and Weapons (Amarr/Minmatar vehicles; Gallente/Amarr heavy weapons) - PVE
Player Market is one of the more important ones, to be honest: the entire point of salvage is the supposed ability to sell it on and make additional profit from items you don't want, potentially lots more from Officer weapons. PVE is the most intensive and would likely be a lot of work for our remaining Devs, but I know that it would inject a metric fuckton of life into the game again.

Client side work is possible, but within reason.
- PVE : Not going to happen in DUST 514. This would be a vast development process, and the PVE for Legion will not be optimized for use in DUST.
- Player Market: This is very needed, and might be doable. At the very least we should have the ability to sell salvage back to the NPC market. But Player to Player within DUST would be much better.
- Gallente/Amarr heavy weapons I feel is the top content priority.
- Amarr/Minmatar vehicles would be the next highest priority, and would add a lot more variety to the vehicle landscape. (I really want to fly the Minmatar Dropship!)
I would expect Heavy Weapons and Vehicles to be in separate content patches, as they need the same resources (staff) to produce the art assets.

PVE is more of a, "Should be the biggest priority, but the others are much more achievable."
Player market and the missing assets I agree are the most important, due to being reasonably achievable. |

I agree, PVE is impossible to have. A training room on the other hand is doable... Minmatar are able to build dropships? Do they know it?

PVE is not impossible before the official launch there were video clips of drones its was before legion was even a thing
a market should not be a priority untill a sandbox and pve have been implemented, p2p trading though should be considered for 1.9 after the racial vehicles and heavy weapons have been deemed ready to implement |

Asking for a load more weapons, twice the number of vehicles, a player market, and PvE is so ludicrously unrealistic I'm not sure what to say.
Client updates not being out of the question doesn't mean that the handful of devs still working on DUST will magically produce more than the entire dev team has been capable of doing in the past 2 years.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Alabastor 'TheBlaster' Alcar wrote:PVE is not impossible before the official launch there were video clips of drones its was before legion was even a thing That is a good point. If those art assets are still functional, and they can add the AI they develop for Legion, they may be able to produce some form of PVE in DUST on the cheap. DonGÇÖt expect it in the next six months though. Give them time to get the drone behavior worked out in Legion first.
Remember, anything developed exclusively for DUST takes resources away from Legion Development.

i do not entertain the notion of legion, those devs should stop working on legion as a seprate game and make it a ps4 expansion for dust, and dust should take priority over legion for the next 2 years bare minimum, legion is a waste of resources and its killing the game we already have.
My op says nothing about pve or a market and this thread is not the place to discuss those things nor is it the place to discuss legion so take that crap somewhere else and stay on topic RACIAL VEHICLES AND HEAVY WAPONS AND POSSIBLY P2P TRADING THAT IS WHAT WEARE DISCUSSING HERE NOT PVE OR A MARKET |

I love how he says "don't want to bother the player base" with downloading the client. Like, I've been begging for Amarr AV and heavy weapons for like A YEAR, but man, I have to download a new client? What a hassle, never mind.
Who thinks that way?

yeah making us redownload the client for new content is hardly bothering the playerbase, if anything the playerbase is bothering the devs to get on the ball with finishing the content. |

I'd add fighters and MAVs to give vehicles a much more finished look, though I'd put them fourth after Gal/Amarr heavy weapons, Amarr/Min vehicles, and player market in terms of feasibility of being doable.
Unfortunately I agree with your statement on PVE. Though I'd say that chances would be pretty small of PVE making it into Dust.

Player Market should take priority, all the other details can wait, but the Market is a must have, I've got a lot of un-usable equipment that I need to clear out and the only way to do that is with the Player Market, aka Player Exchange Center, so please try to make it happen I've spent money on this game don't ruin this for the gamers |
