It's hard to recall a positive experience i have had with some reviving me while they were wearing a milita medic suit.
Many people do not enjoy being revived in the middle of battle only to get shot down a second later. Many of the people who use the medic suit load are newer players who don't full understand when it is okay to revive someone and when it is not.
So i recommend you change the equipment slot from the default nanite injector to a rep tool. It is hard to do damage to your own team with a rep tool.

I fully support switching the Nanite Injector for a Repair Tool.
Regarding the Nanite Injector, I think the whole system should be changed so that Kills and Deaths are only registered on your stats if you actually loose the clone. If this change was implemented I would have no problem with the Medic suit having an Injector, but I donGÇÖt expect that to happen until Legion.

+1 This is a great idea. Also, starting with a rep tool is a much better intro to logi-ing (logying?) than a dirty needle.

Logistics. The word is Logistics.
Yes. I agree. before I had a logistics suit, I carried a repair tool on medium frames. It seemed much more helpful. It still does, even now that I have prototype versions of them.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

Well....maybe the medic fit should be more of a half assed logi suit so that new players can experience different suit types rather then just the assault suit and learn how to switch equipment and all that way. |

While we're at it, is there a chance that the WP which would be originally gained from triage being added to the WP given upon reviving with higher tiered injectors?
I feel as if there would a lot more ADV and PRO Nanite Injectors on the field if players weren't "punished" for using them.

I also like the idea of somehow re-using the rep-cycle code to get this live without any client changes.

That is firmly on the list already, I am just looking at whether pro just gives naturally more WP in a tier progression, or if its based on actual WP healed (don't know how easy that is though).

Why not just give WP equal to the % of armor repaired?
And +1 to the OP, great great idea, would give both a better intro to being a logi and also dramatically cut down on the number of MLT injectors in use.

I always hear people complaining about bad revives and dying as soon as they are stabbed with the needle, I never hear heavies complaining about logi reps.

So, rep, hive, link, scan. All at their low meta types of course. Is there a coding issue with that or would something of this nature be possible?
I'd actually really like that, to be perfectly honest. It'd add some diversity to the new player's starting fits as well so that not everyone in the Academy is running around with injectors or rep tools. It'd be interesting to see how new players react to that, whether or not they realize what benefits each racial suit will provide them simply by looking at them.

This would necessitate a full selection of racial "medics" to be available to new mercs in my opinion.
The way various EQ types currently have vast discrepancies in ease-of-use and income potential I don't feel right locking them, at least for a few days, into certain equipment modules upon race selection.

On that note, it's huge fun to play a Minmatar Basic Light healbot. I can murder people and keep my team alive while outrunning most enemies, even if I would prefer to have some of that Logi repair bonus. |

A mitia Logistics suit would be the best route. In a matter of fact why don't all the suits have a militia fit on start up?
only give Minmatar and Gal heavies (hopefully after they are fixed) a militia HMG and give the Miltia forge to the Amarr and Caldari.
and all scouts with Sniper Rail Rifle

Actually, I'd like to see Basic medium suits with a second equipment slot. It would be the exact midway point between Assault (-1 eq) and Logi, (+1 eq) which makes sense for a suit that is a requirement for both. This would allow for an easy entry into the Logi role without a dedicated militia Logi suit. I know that it won't happen, though. Especially because the same logic can't be used for the Basic Heavy - You can't combine Commando and Sentinel characteristics without breaking something. |

no thank you. it wouldnt be much of a medic. would you rather get fixed but once you die, you are dead? or would you rather get a second chance. there is also the fact that not all suits depend on armor. if you got to heal a militia minmatar or caldari starter fit, you will not even get 25 points for triage. i'd rather be able to get the 60 for a revive.

There are reasons to base it on hp healed - currently you get more wp for reviving a person and replying them up, you get almost no wp for repping scouts but huge wp for repping heavies. In an ideal system you should get wp as though you had repped the target for that much hp - 30% + 60pts for revival (so 80% injector gives triage points as though you repped for 50% of hp) *or* wp = to injector tier, whichever is higher.
100% injector = base pick up value + triage worth 70% hp, or say 100 wp, whichever is *higher*.
"Doesn't this mean you'd get like 500wp for picking up a plated gal sent gk.0? That's too high" a logi would have earned that wp anyways by repping the gk.0. It just expedites the process and makes it worth say squads running the best injectors possible. It also teaches people to terminate enemy clones so they don't get obs dropped by the logi with a 100% tool that picked up a proto squad.
