Greetings Conquerors
With Hotfix Bravo today we have deployed a number of changes to Planetary Conquest. These changes were originally scheduled to go out with Hotfix Alpha, but required an extended QA period. Using this extra time, we also made a few additional tweaks to the previous design. Full details below.
The price of a clone pack has been increased to 50,000,000 ISK, and each clone pack now contains 150 clones. This change now gives corporations breaking into PC a better chance at winning battles, while reducing the ability for people to farm ISK and lock districts without spending lots of ISK or time.
The resale value of excess clones generated on districts or captured in battle has been set to zero. If you want to make ISK from your clones, you need to go fight someone.
Building off the last note, the biomass value of clones destroyed through battle has been increased from 100,000ISK to 200,000ISK.
Finally, the minimum biomass payout for winning a battle has been lowered from 150 clones to 100 clones. Districts will still lose a minimum of 150 clones if the defenders lose, while attackers will still lose all clones. This means that if you want to get the full value of your attack, you need to actually kill the enemy.
We'll be closely monitoring the situation and health of Molden Heath following this change, and will make further adjustments as necessary.

Kain Spero wrote:Looking forward to how this changes the face of Molden Heath. It won't, because the problems we all called out during your time as baker (time to make the donuts) hasn't been addressed except one item (passive isk generation). All it will change is people will only play "friendly" matches with allies, yet another form of locking, except this will payout better as long as they actually attempt to fight each other (don't havck any objectives, just exclusively kill each other, which is likely what your group had in mind coming up with this). No real gameplay changes, more restrictive access for outside entities through cost, the same people I hated before fanfest running things with different names. As long as those responsible for the original donut have any say in this game, it will continue to be/get worse (or at best stay the same).
This is not pessimism, it's realism. You and your friends ruined the game for most of us, and I will continue to point it out as long as I can. Anyone who thinks this will matter is deluding themselves. This doesn't help Legion directly, so it will be a halfassed attempt to do what we have said needed done for months on end. They went the way the ex-donut people wanted, and I have zero confidence as a result.
P.S. Yes, this is a personal attack to you directly. You are the embodiment of everything wrong with this game and CCP (promoting you to CPM is insanity, since you care about yourself than the game). This is impossible to refute, since everything you did helped yourself to the detriment of 90+% of the playerbase at least, and the entire health of Dust as a whole. |

Actually if you can win your fights you can recoup the ISK spent on clone packs much more quickly without having to go for a long period of not fighting only to collect passive ISK. Nothing will change the fact that actually winning is an important part of making ISK and being successful in PC.
Also, if you had any idea of what was going on you would realize that Goonfeet isn't involved in PC at all. Most of the vet corps that were hooked on passive ISK have no love of the change. I've been trying to get rid of passive ISK for a very long time actually:

Everyone wanted this change. You must have been late to the party. Everyone wanted passive ISK generation to be removed. Everyone wanted PC to be setup so that ACTUALLY FIGHTING OTHERS gives you real rewards rather than turning PC into Farmville.
All that's left now is changing the district reinforcement timer system.

I don't think you make a profit just by trading clone losses. I'm pretty sure your team's winning KDR vs. Losing KDR has to be above something like 2.0 in order to make a profit.
Oh also, congrats to the Goons for all the new .4 moons that they get with a reduced feul cost in Molden Heath. I've always been curious if PC could make R16s and R32s very much more profitable. |

Now that passive ISK is COMPLETELY abolished
There is really no reason for corps to want to pay hundreds of millions of ISK to enter PC
Cause odds are they will not win against the already established corps
And by losing ONE battle when trying to flip a district, these corps leave with a huge detriment
And then need to spend even HUNDREDS of millions more to continue to fight
The only reason to hold a district in PC
Is to not have to spend ISK to attack another district in PC
There's no monetary value besides the good fights
And when we lost these fights, corps relied on passive ISK in the corp wallet to be paid out to the players to recoup losses
Now basically, you put your corp tax at 50% And everyone leave the corp
Or play PC and when you lose you start going broke
Look for corps to begin breaking off and trying to create a big blue corp when they begin losing
That way all the best players are there to never lose
Or people just stop fighting in PC lol
Hmmm. The Meta is strong with this one...

I just really doubt that changing the timer system is possible in a hot fix. I think it'll be good to see how the current system plays out before looking to have any more heavy mechanic changes.

Cant argue with you their, but we can say that you are not a good player at this game as a shooter, only as a politician and as such really have no place on the cpm, in that one whk is bad at this game can not possibly have an understanding of how it works and therefore should not have input as to how it should be altered. Thats my opinion.
Whats a fact is that while you and ERA were ruining pc even more with the aptly named Goonfeet tactic of exploiting a thing to stop it from being exploited, supposedly, is ridiculous and an excuse to be childish in most cases; all the while creating a donut that choked anyone not in your fan club out of pc to allow yourselves to be made fat on passive isk gain through locking. Doing this through DNS Black of DNS. who publicly said that he and you wanted to own Molden Heath to hold tournaments . Tournaments that would be manged by an outside gaming company which you had a verbal agreement with, who then backed out on you while on a public pod cast because of DNS Blacks mouth being allowed to open. He exposed himself and you as people who want to own, control, manage, and rent what is everyones. After they backed out on you 2 weeks later ccp also backed out on you with Legion. And you said the donut would fix PC..... Ya......
So my final opinion is that on top of not being able to play the game your influence, insights, and ideas have obviously not helped it. So yes why are you on the cpm? Who exactly do you suck off at CCP?

Or people just stop fighting in PC lol Its cool, pc will be tough, and not so rewarding. PC is not the end all be all to this game, pubs are 100 times more important to the health of this game than the few elites in pc. Therefore we need a system that does not allow the few elites to over profit in such a way that allows for them to forever protostomp and tank spam the life out of the pubs when they get done with their fake blue on blue battles or passive isk gain. PC should rely more on their corp taxes to maintain and therefore demand you 1 play the pubs and 2 cant carelessly pub stomp in proto without concern for isk. These changes will help what truly matters here noobs in pubs. Since no corp could ever seem to restrain themselves this will help to begin to restrain them.
